Board is a monster, and this E8400 my brother got was clocking like crazy. Only got to test it for a couple hours on air but it was doing 533x8 (4.26ghz) 1.25V w/ Tuniq orthos stable for a few min, 3dmark05 flawless...

    3DMark05 23K+ 4.0ghz 4GB 1000mhz 5-5-5-15 w/ a stock 9800GTX. I'm very impressed!

Where are you setting TRD? I'm not seeing the PL option in the bios... Booting at 500mhz+ FSB the board always sets TRD 10. Changing it to 9 is fine but any lower and I insta BSOD. With all the boards I own I have never been able to adjust the PL more than -1 without instantly locking up.

+0.1 or +0.5V nb or +0.1-0.4V vfsb does not really make a difference. I don't need to push nb with much voltz to have the same boot errors over and over again. really gets me confused this time ^^

depending onthe bios you are on (if older ones like 618) you will HAVE to have your VTT higher by 0.04v than NB volts or you will be very unstable

also experiement with your RAM presets as different RAM yields different results

use auto settings on RAM first and then try set values

It's down because they released a new bios.

    http://download.biostar.com.tw/upload/Bios/P45BA710.BST

I'll test the bios in a couple hours when I head to my parents house to test the new D9JKH sticks that I got a month or two ago.

The new bios allows manual PL setting. They also added a ton of new ram sub-timings to be set manually. The only problem is that you cannot set just some timings manual and some auto.
