Hey guys, quick input b4 I bite the bullet.

    My three e8400 choices: Q814A014, Q817A472, and Q817A473.

    I know the q814 is a known 4.1-4.3ghz performer.

    Any news on the q817a's?

I have an unopened q807a091 e3110 in the box but the q814 seems to have a higher ceiling...to e3110 ebay you go!

Can someone help me overclock a nice E8500, not common this chip, this is what I have: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=384956
You could go to a 400 FSB, which will raise the cpu to 3.8 GHz.

Cpu voltage should be raised to 1.3v and Ram voltage to 2.1v for testing. All other bios settings should be ok on AUTO.

Your system should be able to run comfortably at 4.0 GHz with the maximum cpu voltage 1.3625v or less.

    I want that Xeon 3110 !!!! why on earth wouldn't you ?
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

    Exactly Leeghoofd, I have a Q751A439 Xeon E3110 that does 4.2ghz @ 1.33v 24/7... not too shabby right?
I'd say give that Xeon a go and then maybe...... sell it

Friend: Do you have a spare PSU lying around?
    Me: No why?
Friend: My PSU just blew up, I think the second 8800GTX might have been too much for it to handle
Me: what PSU was that again?
    Friend: Antec 480w

Hey guys, got 3 questions, sorry for the noobness:

    1. Can someone tell me which is the correct fsb strap setting for 1:1?
On auto the dram freq option is ddr2-801. On 400mhz fsbstrap it is ddr2-800.

    2. I want to stay at 3.6ghz 1:1fsb/dram, what should I do next? Lower performance level and run memtest and/or prime?

    3. Pci-e freq: 101 or 100? Not really sure anymore.

For ya voltages AUTO really overvolts : Set CPU PLL mate to 1.52 - FSB Term voltage to 1.26 - NB Voltage to 1.26 - Drop performance level to 10... rest looks okay..

Added mate, thx, dunno if I added this but my lapped Q805A546 rocks now 4ghz 8 x 500 at 1.216 Vcore I just had to drop PLL to 1.52 and FSB Term to 1.22 and it would allow me to drop Vcore too...

Hi ppl, this batch is good? ...

Q813A190, i want to buy it, tell me something of this FPO...

    @ LEEGHOOFD...i use u're settings that you say (x9 425FSB), i use the next setting for x9 425FSB :

    Dram 850mhz 4-4-4-12 Voltage 2.1 (Corsair XMS2 DHX)
    Vcore 1.42 BIOS
    NB 1.4

With this setting the system is stable, i run fast orthos for 2,3 minutes with SPI 32 at the same time..Vcore load is 1.368.

I tryed 4GHZ with this setting, the Vcore is insane i think...

    9x
    445FSB
    Dram 890 4-4-4-12 Voltage 2.2 (Corsair XMS2 DHX)
    Vcore 1.4750 BIOS / under load 1.37

Again i tested fast 3,4 minutes with SPI 32 at the same time...stable again...

I have a question, at a good batch that can do 4GHZ unde load with 1.25/1.3 what Vcore you need to set in bios ?

Sorry for the quality of the pictures but the 200kb limit is...

I tryed the same settings at x8 with 500FSB and it worked...all the time i've have the impresion that my ram is not good...but the ram goes like hell...i can run 890 / 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1/2.2 voltage...the problem was the Vcore...this CPU whats more and more voltage...

Mmmm so3o4nu try to lower the vcore in small steps... if you can run 8 x 500 with the same Vcore setting then at 9 x 450 it would prolly needs a tiny bit less... and try small FFT's for CPU test... my rig is stable with small and Blend... but sometimes caps out at large FFT's... yet it is folding all the time, gamed upon , benched upon and it's rock stable there...

What PLL and FSB Term do you use ?

eye keep getting higher clocks for less vtt & pll also but still at the same or higher cpu volts ..up to 4.5 cpu speed ( want to see 4.8 or better ) now & stable to me doing folding and surfing and all but ya larg fft are kinda funny some times go for hours & sometimes not good enough for me tho

    I know the q814 is a known 4.1-4.3ghz performer.

    Any news on the q817a's?

I have an unopened q807a091 e3110 in the box but the q814 seems to have a higher ceiling...to e3110 ebay you go!
