    Team ODOC; 2x 3870X2 action (30K 06)

First off, I appologize for the delay, this thread is regarding the danish benching session @ 28th July (According to my poor memory)

We were very fortunate by the kindness of OCTeamHungary let us borrow 2x HD3870X2, which I had along with me home from Hungary

Our purpos was to run everything on a blackops, sadly, this failed as socket was injuired... (sh1t happens)

    Our weapon of choice were:
    G.Skill PC12800CL7-2GBHZ (D9GTR) (on some pics G.Skill PC12800CL7-4GBPI are shown)
    Intel QX9650 Retail
    ASUS P5E3 DLX ES (X38)
    Corsair HX1000
    2x HD3870X2

    Cooling:
    F1EE @ CPU
Ghettostyle @ NB (Core of Intel heatsink strapped onto a swiftech heatsink)
    Stock @ GFX
    50L LN2

We didnt manage to compete 100% with the topdogs, yet, very nice start as its first time for us to play with Vista...
However, national records in all benchmarks we ran

Once again, thanks for letting us borrow the cards, was amazing to get some good testing.. Same second the 30xxx showed on monitor, a big smile appeared on my face

I'm looking very much forward to HD4870X2, ATI cards are a blast benching with IMO

    Thanks
Yea hopefully, its not sure that I can go though, but I will try

    Nacht,
I dont know, we didnt push the graphic cards much, as CPU was main concern, we only used higher freq then BIOS - for 3Dmark2003, and only just high enough for beating competitors... was last benchmark, and we were tired.

To run tighter RAM timings maybe?

So we wouldnt have to change during benching...
We hoped for 475-490FSB 1:2 6-6-6-12 btw... but redecided it wasnt that important for the given benchmarks

    Thanks to all...

We where using tube on nb, couple of factors, no fan (prevent condensation), we can control temp and keep nb cold bcoz cfx, mid fsb and mid tight timmings...

The board used where the one that we used to take the cl6 wr once, but it was not an option when usuing cfx, simply to much load for the nb, but there is also alot of data going through it...

And ag. thanks to OCTeamHungary for the sweet opportunity to play with these cards quickly...
