'mark thread as read' ?

I have this weird problem:

when I browse XS, I have my 'Subscribed Threads' open - when a new post gets made, the thread title is bolded; when I've read all/the new posts it becomes un-bolded.. sometimes, for some dumb reason, that 'un-bolding' doesnt happen - any way to mark the thread as 'read' so that the 'bolding' goes away? Am I understood?

I got the other issue that sometimes, when reviewing all my subscribed threads, and I've read one or two, all the others become at once unbolded when refreshing the page.

On the other side, I'd like to have the ability to mark a subscribed thread as read without reading it, avoiding the need to unsubscribe , just because sometimes one may think that a subscribed thread can wait or is not worth reading for a while, but not forever.
