Bito, it had to have been on top of those. Keep in mind that the adjustment that comes with it only allows for a 5% adjustment. That is normally plenty, but some of these guys have a load that requires more. The TTGI is a good candidate for this mod and I have several of them. They also come with an internal pot.Originally posted by bito

Never said thanks btw Dude....
You still using the PCPC? How do the rails respond under load and high Vdimm?

You're most welcome Hëll ‡ Fîrë...but I don't remember for what?LOLYou still using the PCPC? How do the rails respond under load and high Vdimm?
I'm only now ready to use the 510 for a high OC in a Mach2 Review...hoping to push one of those sweet 1700s to 3GhZ. In normal use it has been a rock.

Worked great.
I just modded the 12, 5, 3.3 on my truepower 550 with a 10-Ohm fixed resistor and a 1k variable on all rails and it works perfect.
Also got around to doing the vdimm mod on my nf7-s 1.2, I will finaly be able to see what this year old Kingston HyperX 3500 will be able to do. I have been stuck at around 215-220 on any board I have put them in; they have the chips marked kingston, and are rated @2.5v w/2-3-3-8 timmings I belive. Does anybody know if these are rebadged BH5? They were both purchased around christmass last year.

voltmod ok, 3.3/5/12 volt.
3.3 voltmod good for ddr mushkin pc3200 level2 .

Heya guys,
I'm about to do the vmods for my TP 550w PSU.
Here's what I components I have already.
1st option:
3.3v Line: 10 Ohm resistor & 500 Ohm VR.
5.0v Line: 36 Ohm resistor & 1K Ohm VR.
12v Line: 68 Ohm resistor & 1K Ohm VR.
second option:
10 Ohm resistor & 10K Ohm VR - 3.3v
36 Ohm resistor & 10K Ohm VR - 5.0v
68 Ohm resistor & 10K Ohm VR - 12v
Are the components I have right?
I have a few 500 Ohm VR's & a few 10K Ohm VR's
I know what to do but the only thing I'm unsure of is what Ohm's to set the VR's to.
Do I set my VR's to the max resistance (say 10K Ohm for the 12v line) & then adjust it on the fly? Or do I set my 10K Ohm to 0 Ohms & then adjust it?
I thought I saw on another thread that the guy (can't remember who) used a 10 Ohm resistor & a 1K Ohm VR set to 220 Ohms. Is this O.K?
My Antec TP 550w 3.3v line reads 3.2v. I'm looking to get it up to 3.4v. Can one of you XS guys help me here? With my 9800pro vGPU mod I set the 10k Ohm VR to max resistance & then adjusted it after the mod was done. Does this mod use the same method?
Thanks,
edit:
I got it from the other "Antec PSU Mod" thread. Got one more question though, do i set my VR/Trimmers to max resistance & go from there?

Finally got the mods done on my Antec TP 550.
3.3v@3.3v
5v@5.10v (I can't seem to get it higher no matter how many
turns on the VR)
12v@12.14v (Same prob as the 5v mod).
Before the mods my 3.3 was 3.2v, 5v was 4.8, 12v was 11.7v.
Now to install it into my Vapochill/WaterChill. I really needed stable lines, especially my 12v line as the Vapo & Waterchill suck a lot of juice.

You can push those rails higher without fear bro. That 12v can run close to 13v without worry....some run it at insane volts, but not sure why the purpose there. Ego I am guessing..lol.
Nicely done.

Hëll ‡ Fîrë,
My 12v rails cut off on me if I raise them any higher than 12.3V, same as my 5v rail, any more than 5.3V & that's it, I can't get my PSU started. I have to re-adjust them to under those specs & everything's fine.
WTF is going on with my one?
Fixed the probs I had with the VR's. I was adjusting them like how I adjust my IC7-G Vmem mod & after 2hrs, I finally relaised I was adjusting the VR's the wrong way.
Very good mod this.
Thanks for all the help. I'm losing it, nearly every component in my rig is modded for extra POWER!! I'm LOVIN' IT.
Missus thinks I'm insane
Cheers,
Minh
