Not yet... As jimmyz said, this is not even done with testing yet...

You'll hear directly from him and W1zzard when it's complete (read: safe).

We're still poking around at this point.

How were you planning on doing the pwm mod? Just attatching another PWM ic with the current one?

You use a 100k pot for both the vmem and vcore. Happy modding.

It could be higher, but i think anything lower will result in a stock voltage that is to high. But i am not sure, you might want to wait for someone else's response.

I tried the 20K vr recommendation by VR Zone for both Vgpu & gddr on 4850.
    Works fine using 20K vr.

    Vgpu measure

    Vgpu mod using 20K VR

    Vgddr mod using 20K also

4870 uses same Vreg as 9800GX2 and GTX 280, I am looking for VT1165MF data sheet, hope no NDA on it.

why thanks. looks like the one in the first post of this thread, just using lower trimpots, and one less solder point to the PWM.

Changing the bios values will result in a maximum of 1.21volts, which isn't as big a gain as some would like.

... you posted the same question in 2 threads...

Alright, I've tested my HD4870's VGPU measure points and just holding on for the VGPU mod. . .

Got it all under water at the moment and BIOS moding doesn't seem to do alot since I don't know what the maximum VGPU values are for BIOS mods.

I just wish it was as easy to mod the voltage as it was on my 2900Pro, where the BIOS allower for some pretty hefty voltage increases.
