well yes, there are some problems inherent to THG.
like they have clear and obvious allegences to intel,asus and MSI.
so on the hardware front I don't trust them anymore then I'd trust a priest with prison tattoos to be a boy scout leader.

but a 5 ghz shot is probably the smallest group of overclockers there is, cause the amount of people that did 5 ghz so far could probably fit in one car...

so the point is, 5 ghz is still a hugely impressive thing.
plus, I think had say Macci done this, no one would question it one bit, even if there was no benchmarks.
to me, thats alittle "snob-ish" of us in my opinion.
we've all produced screenshots we couldn't back up, but we always get some sort of praise out of it.

I personally can reach 4.41 ghz with my 2.8C, highest screen shot I ever got was 4.337 ghz.
highest benchmark ever is sisoft at 4.2 ghz, and super pi at 4.117.
then 3dmark at 4.094...

if they are in the same boat I am, then thier benchmarks would have been at best maybe 4.8 ghz or so.
then we would have just talked more smack about it all...

completly ignoring that if it was a member here at XS that did it, we'd be all over it, like white on rice.
but instead, we sneer at it, cause the container isn't made like we've seen others do...
