Bios 0406 is completely incomaptible with Adaptec Raid Controller 3405. Computer won't boot with "CPU init" message on LCD poster. It took me hours to isolate the problem. I had to disassemble the whole system to understand that Adaptec controller was a problem. I already decided that I killed my RF during flashing, and even went to shop and bought Celeron 420 to try another CPU instead of Q9450. Nothing helped till I removed Adaptec card. Uff...tired of all these things..

ASUS sent me a new motherboard (thanks ASUS ). Crucial sent me new RAM (thanks Crucial) . I'm still having memtest errors .
I increased tRFC as Reatlelstar suggested. I dropped timings to 5-5-5-14 and had tRFC up to maximum, around 132 if I recall correctly. This is at 800mhz.
It's starting to look like the RAM just isn't compatible. The DDR2 800 2x2Gb Ballistix aren't on the QVL for the Rampage, but the 2x1Gb Ballistix are. I've talked to Crucial and they have mentioned that they did test the RAM on the Rampage (at least one of the customer service reps mentioned this, I don't know how accurate this info is.) I haven't talked to Crucial since yesterday. Thirty minutes on hold sucks on a cell phone.
Is there anything that you guys can see that I am overlooking.
I'm probably just gonna get some G.Skill RAM since everyone else is doing it (peer pressure).
Do you think Crucial can give me a refund since there product doesn't work (it's way past the 30 day mark)? Would it be ethical to sell them when I'm not 100% sure that the Ballistix are good?

Asus Rampage Formula
2x2G G.Skill DDR2 1066

Liquid cooled
It seems the G.Skill has the best luck so far with the Rampage. So I'm assuming the 0406 bios increase fsb overclocking (from above post)?
