I don't think that is correct. 4870 is 160 watts, ~900 million transistors, 55nm. 280 is 1.4 billion transistors, 65nm. Seems very unlikely to me that they could match the load power draw of the 4870.

The only source I could find is Fudzilla which lists the 280 @ 236 watts, but not the best source around.
