The only problem is that there are plenty of 8800GTX/GTS/GT Unisinks, and none for the new generation of video cards. Otherwise, I would pounce like no tomorrow. I may stillpick up a couple to replace the aging MCW60s.

i really like the dtek unisink it cools my ultra mem and vregs really well.

im prolly gonna go with a 4870, i hope they come out with the red unisink

might ditch the mcw60... i dunno, but i like the look of this one (though you never really see it in the case ) and that it might be able to use compression fittings.

That is one good looking block! Anyone tried it yet? I want to cool my two 8800GT's but I want to know how well this block performs first. Probably very well! =)
    Loonym...You are missed.

I like that unisink too, it doesn't look like a bad combination after all.

You got to be kidding. The version FuZion GFX was the best performing block in the marketplace. There was no competing product. Now, this version 2 is supposedly even better. And there are Unisinks to fot your 8800GT cards. Plus, its less than $90 for block and unisink. Compared to .. what ? for a full covered ? What are you waiting for ?

the first block was no doubt the best gpu block out there. but the restriction was so high it would bring the temps down of everything else in the loop.

Definitely the best gpu block and if the rest of your loop is up to par you shouldn't see too much of a difference in temps on the cpu. BTW version 1 is giving me a current delta of 2 degrees C on an 8800gts.

Except there still isn't a solution for the backside. OK. I need to remain optimistic !

These blocks will get some great temps.

    now thats smart

    full block 120.00 a pop vs air block 40.00 + 52.00 = 92.00

    ATI 9700 pro
    X1900XT
    8800 series
    260/280 series

cost 40*4 = 160.00 +52 upgrade costs with air block
or 120*4 = 480.00 upgrade costs with full water block

    Nvidia 280 GTX Underside cooling

    IanY.....

I beleive the unisink is designed to be used with stock air cooler...so when you throw away the stock air cooler...only throw away the top keep the stock bottom air sink spreader and mount it to the Unisink and GPU Combo

Anyone notice the C/W curve differences? I'm curious how it compares to V1 thermally...

I like GPU only blocks especially since I've epoxied on my ram sinks many moons ago...

It always comes down to this same stupid argument when GPU blocks are broached. "FC blocks are teh silly okay, 'cause ......" I WANTED an FC block, I bought one, I'm very satisfied with my temps, there isn't much difference between $70 and $140 when it comes time for a major upgrade...

Give it a break morla, you're better than this! (guess who I am)

Ack, I totally would get that for my pair of 4850s if they come out with uni-sinks. Guess I'll take my time and not buy anything for them at this time, and I'll drop them an email just to let em know someone would like a 48xx uni-sink.
