Just curious if the ati 4850 is compatible w/ the mcw60.
Also any news of a dtek uni sink like product being released for the 4800 series? Or any suggestions on some heatsinks to use for the card?

http://translate.google.com/translat...sl=zh-CN&tl=en heres a review of the 4870. pics of it as well.
I just installed mcw60 to 4850. It matchs perfectly.
We are going to need to create a comprehensive list of blocks and compatibility with the 4850/4870 series.
- AquaExtreme MP-1
- Maze 4
- Maze 5
- MCW60
- Dtek GPU block
And any adaptors or mods that were needed to make them fit. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge with any of these yet?

From what I've been reading, the 3850 and 4850 use like the exact same layout.
What I don't know is if the 3850 required some special mounting plate in order for the mcw60 to fit =/
From swiftech's site:
I guess the layout for the 2900 series were much diff than the 3800 series. The MCW60 in stock configuration is fully compatible with ATIŽ's new 3800 Series graphics cards (shown above with Sapphire Radeon HD 3850).
The MCW60 is shown above with ATIŽ's 2900XT. The optional A2900 adapter kit is required for installation with this card.
Thanks for all your inputSaved myself $6 + s/h

Its my fault.. and no im not sorry about it either.[12:37] skinnee: quit helping me procrastinate block reviews, you asshat. :p

Yeah I meant the ones around the GPU so GPU only blocks should be fine.
I have 2x4850 cards and need to WC them. Should I go with MCW60s or something else?
I was eyeing the D-Tek GFX 2, but expensive compared to what I can nail for used MCW60s...

Yes it fits. I sold a pair of them to a friend, and we verified that they fit before he took them. It's actually a Perfect fit.

Yes, most likely. Both drawings have been submitted, but the 4850 sinks are running first, then the 4870. Depending on how the finishing cost works out, the 4850 and 4870 sinks may be plated in seperate batches, in which case the 4870 sinks will be about 4-5 days behind the 4850 sinks.

I believe he is putting some Ramsinks on, but honestly he didnt say.....The MOSFET heatsink stayed installed, just need some ramsinks to cool those mem chips I guess. He had the cards Voltmoded.....
