ok i flashed to latest bios >> 618

i can do around 600MHz FSB on air
it can be tuned to perform well but i don't think from what i've seen so far that it will really challenge Asus boards for efficiency
    but it's not too bad

one thing that does concern me is the fact that NB voltage is directly linked with vFSB voltage and upping NB will also increase vFSB by the same amount

so when you add +0.5 you are getting 1.52v on vFSB..............if anandtech is right about vFSB killing CPUs your chips won't last very long at all if you put more than +0.5 into NB

My new E8500 E0 on the same mobo, not too bad in fsb but this chip does max 5800mhz under cascade and 1.84v

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=380036

Tomorow i will test on an other mobo.

Before to get new bios , If you want to assynch vNB and vFSB :

you can use tpower II software, decrease vFSB and increase vNB, that works fine !

biostar bios doesn't allow you to select RAM timings if you want high FSB so you can pretty much forget running CAS4 at high FSB

i did somehow (ONLY once) manage to boot at 4-4-4-9 timings at 570MHz FSB but could not repeat it with same settings later on for the life of me
very odd board when it comes to RAM................

hmm. How high can you set your NB with the linked vFSB? is it 1:1, like 1.5Nb = 1.5Vfsb?

This is really strange. My RAM will be bored with CAS5

Is there an OVP/Droop Mod out, yet? Iīm waiting for this board to be available in Germany but that somehow takes very long...

    there are more bios' here

The 620 saved me from sending the board back to newegg as my pny 9800GTX would not work with the shipped bios. Now it works like a charm.
