I've pretty much given up on this board. Maybe its my board, but I can't even get the thing stable at STOCK speeds. My memory and cpu is fine, this board must be defective, or overall just a POS product. Every time I get it stable for 12 hours, the next ing reboot it bsods withing 1min - an hour.

RMAing this, and going back to asus.

    Thanks dfi.

finally got new board to 550fsb with x38 bios couldnt do it with x48 ut bios
cpu vtt 1.55 gtl 106-106-105 low gtl settings needed for high fsb
also all subtimings must be set manually no auto
got to 554fsb but no time to test stability
i wish i saved screenshot of everest lol but will try higher n save it need sleep lol
for those who think ut bios is better they are all the same x-38=x48=x48ut
testin out ut bios and its same as x38 bios

I have to ask you about my temps. I have just build my first water chilled system and i work rather well. I have one loop and use two pumps for a nice (and overkill) flow. I use only two blocks for the moment, CPU and NB.
..but during load (4.2GHz) DFI software say 62 degrees on cpu and realtemp says 52 degrees. I assume that realtemp show right because both radiator and blocks are very cold.
What is 62 degress according to dfi´s temp/fan software. Where is that sensor located on the board?

I nice picture during my "leak search"..

    Thanks in advance..

You have almost the same overclock as me and i use everest to get my core temps and i have temps of 55 on both cores when using occt. Try the trial version of everest and see whet the core`s are with that. DFI gives you the overall temp of the cpu so it is always higher than the cores.

    Thank you Wilson!
I will try everest and see..

My idle temps are just 31 degrees so 52 is to much during load I quess.
I think maybe my block dont fit so well.

If I'm trying to set a water cooling system, is LT a better choice than the UT?
(UT gotta all that connected heatpipes)
and I think there aren't any performance difference between UT and LT except for the MB's heatpipes cooling layout
am I correct correct me if i'm wrong plz ^^

Guys my mobo throws out a bunch of errors @ verifying DMI pool time. This happens even when trying to boot from a DVD Drive.
    It looks like this:
    >00000080
    <00000002
    000000C1
    000000048
    *<00064028
    J
I cleared the CMOS, pulled out the battery, etc -- no luck.
    Mobo says "FF"

    Any ideas?
    BTW bought from mobopro

Well I can rule out a better PSU, my PCP&C 750 does fine with any other board and is rock stable. I'm going to give it one more day of focused testing before I ditch this board, but so far I can say that I'm not impressed with my board as compared to other x38/48 boards.

I went through a couple of hellish days with mine before I got new ram. Now everything is sweet! Mine would make it to ff with a set of Muskin 1066 and ocz 6400 but was not stable and bsod all the time. I also had some ocz 1100 that would not boot at all. Are you sure that the board likes your G skill?

Yes, because numerous people have used these exact sticks.....I can boot all the way to 1089 with these sticks on even this board, its keeping it from crashing applications in windows (Host processes, firefox, pidgin). I'm testing 3.75 @ 1000mhz (417 x9) after trying that same fsb with x8, and so far no crashes/firefox crashes, but knowing my luck from previous tests I predict I'll wake up tomorrow, turn off occt after 12 hours, then BAM. Bsod.

I've killed a e8400 a month ago when I ran Prime small FTT. After that I've tried another 3 e8400 and none did 4ghz. I can do 425x9 without any problems but anything higher freezes my computer. With my first e8400, I did 465x9 without problems but now my mobo just sucks. Is it possible that it lost part of oc capability?? I've checked my Ram, PSU, increased NB, changed several VTT and GTL combinations and same thing. It may sound like a silly questions but I never lost a CPU before.

try dissabling gtl, and use low VTT (like 1.25) and then about 1.36V core with minimum vid add and 1.5V NB
