Great AA scaling, but is this because of more efficient AA or cutting corners IQ wise? Can someone with a card post some zoomed in comparison shots between 3000 series and 4000 series AA?
RV670: 16 ROPs (2z&aa/clk)
RV770: 16 ROPs (4z&aa/clk)
Thats why...

This is also a 1 GB version, the 512GB version is supposed to be cheaper although I don't think we are really all that interested in that version.
This is just one of the first shops showing a 4870 an prices can change over time, but they will probably change for the better.
I don't think that shop has it's specs correct or that card is heavily overclocked out of the box.
Did some searching around in Dutch shop, but can't find a 4870 yet. There however is a 4850 up for pre-order, for around €156,-, that cheapest NVIDIA 8800GTS 512MB that can be had is around €160,- and the cheapest 9800GTX is aroung €210,-.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's not due to cutting corners, but I'd like to be sure. Especially since I'm looking at purchasing some shares. Can you say from first hand experience that the quality isn't reduced 003?

Hell yes its a mini-ITX gaming rig!
Now we just need W1zzard in here to confirm that GPU-Z can detect R700.
Nice, but look at the CPU score. I don't think any Phenom can give that kind of score. Did AMD use an Intel CPU?
holy insane score batman!.
12k @ extreme in vantage o_O
it says R700 in CrossfireX
Is that a single "4870X2" board or two of them?
GPU-Z says "4GPUs" so it would be two R700s.
Well there goes the theory of any sort of link that wasnt a pcie bridge chip.
how come everyone thinks that GPU's on X2 cards are connected via PCIe brdigle PLX??
They're connected via one of two available CrossFire lanes!
Bridge PLX is there only to "fools" the system that there's one card in PCIe slot (its lame explanation, but the simplest one)
Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.
^^^ yes but effectively it's the same thing, cross GPU communication is less than ideal.
Then there is still hope, speaking of which, whats the X score for trisli gtx280?
