Oohhh!!! My F1 might arrive in time to bench a little bit more before the end of this competition. Sadly I'll be limited to dry ice unless my dewars are teleported to my house.

yes it is. picked up a vapochill for dirt cheap, going to do some initial testing on it then send it off for some mods as the compressor is a bit too loud for my tastes.

im hoping though i can break the 5ghz barrier w/ it. i can already boot 4.75ghz and can bench @ 4.5ghz on water. now i just have to pick the motherboard im going to use w/ it. its either my dfi or my maximus. im thinking the dfi will be better as guardian software can read negative temps sort of and has better voltage control all around.

Edmonton, Alberta. I actually won't need gpu pots...wr easy within reach, already got #1 in '06, haven't put the card under water, and have water blocks for 'em.

Need cpu pot...would help with the 3870x2's too...they both do 920-930gpu in '06 on stock volts. But my cpu is not fast enough...4.6ghz under water quad just aint enough!

i know how you feel, e7200 @ 4.5 is not fast enough for even 5th place in aquamark w/ 2900 pros *about 2000 pts short so not much. i just want to do it w/ this cpu because its funny to me comparing it against the other cpus used*

Made it to 4th place overall!

For the time being I think I have nothing left to bench until Ati/AMD 4000 comes out unless I throw some dry ice on this TV remote control(not sure it's in the HWbot DB though. haha)...

Sadly, just after announcing my starting score, some of my points were taken
So I've just went from 156 or so, to 206....
- 250 should be possible within a couple of hours, if we dont run out of LN2

Everyone's totals go up and down all the time, that's how hwbot works. It appears your starting point total the day the contest was opened was 197.5 and you finished with 206 for a total of 8.5 points added?

Hmm, Im in top10
Now I have to think of the most annoying color possible... Hmmm!

I'll upload even more next week, sadly weekend benching was a failiure

If 8.5 is top ten for points added you should win same as everyone else that worked very hard during the contest. If the prizes are for past achievements perhaps you should sponsor the next one.

more benches coming tonight :-) im going to re-do all my e7200 2d benches and try for a bit more in aquamark. interestingly enough i was able to get the same score w/ 300mhz less on cpu. guess aquamark really likes high speed ram.

F1EE has just arrived. Cannot find my Fluke, will have to bench blind on dry ice

7 hours later and I've realized the F1EE blows with Dry Ice. Using either fine power, BB grains, or large chunks always resulted in a ~-40C base temp and -35C idle core temp with 3 cores disabled Guess I'll have to wait for the dewar.

how are you disabling 3 cores? my dfi only allows to disable 2 through bios. the other is shut down via boot.ini?

also, has anybody here benched w/ server2008? from what i understand wprime likes vista better than xp so i wonder how it does w/ server.

e8500 + e7200 arriving on friday. time to up my 3dmark01 and aquamark.

acetone is over-rated, I use the blood of infants

My 780i board has the option in BIOS to disable up to 3 cores. Once I have LN2 I'll play with this a bit more, helped get the clocks much higher.

I tried to organize a list of the top contributors during the contest. I'm not certain of the accuracy of this list but I did the best I could from the posts in the thread and using hwbot search. Not everyone's beginning score (or end if there is one ) was clear and I know there were more members adding points so if this is in error or anyone is left out speak up. Looks like we've slipped a little in the past couple days so keep pushing it team!!!

i just dug through storage as i am in middle of finding a place. and i cant find any of my mounting hardware. so i should be able to get myself into the top 10 by the end of tomorrow. and if they add 4850 to hwbot i can get some points there as well..
