At the moment it's slightly slower but in general most reviewers or users find that the perfomance level of the P45 is just trailing P35.. hopefully some new biosses will close the gap... also with X38/48... but this board is fun as it's so easy to setup with some knowledge...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
Just got mine installed. Up and running at my 24/7 settings.

Hi!
I 've got a P5Q, but I didnt find the official thread to that type, so I decieded to write here. This BIOS is new for me, I had a p5k-e before, there are similar options, but some new as well. I tried to OC my 8400 wich is stable on 8x500 in p5k-e, but in this mobo I dont even hit the puny 420 fsb with 6x multi. It looks like it had a wall on 415, but that's impossibile. What and how should I adjust to reach the max fsb with this mobo?

Leeghoofd, I've got 2x2gb of Corsair Dominator 8500 C5DF and can't get the p5q dlx to boot on PL=7 :S
Can you post your bios settings ?
PS: I'm still with the original 05xx bios. Could it be that ?

Hey Guys, I'm wondering if someone can help me out with my IDE Drives problem. I've setup my system and it's running awesome! Running @ Stock for now, plan on OC'ing over the weekend.
I have 3 IDE Drives. 2 DVD Burners & 1 Hard Drive. (I have a SATAII which is my primary OS hard drive). I connected my 2 DVD Burners using the IDE port provided onboard. I have a Silicon RAID Card (PCI) which I installed so I could connect my IDE Hard Drive (Since I cannot install more then 2 IDE drives using the onboard connectors).
Now, no matter what I do - if I connect the IDE Hard Drive using the RAID Card - my PC pauses at this during boot up:
Marvell 88SE61xx Adapter - BIOS Version 1.1.0.L70d
Initializing.
It doesn't budge from there no matter what. As soon as I disconnect my IDE Drive, everything works fine. The RAID Card has all its' drivers installed and shows up as working fine in my device manager.
I personally think it has something to do with JUMPER Settings on the 3 IDE Drives (Master, Slave, Cable Select, etc.). Does anyone know what JUMPER settings I should set the 3 IDE Drives to? Or what else I can do for my IDE Hard Drive to work in the system?
Thanks!!

when it comes to OC'ing and stability, is the Deluxe much more OC'able and more stable than te PRO ?
I'm not talking features rich, i'm talking stability,oc'ability and speed.
because to my understandings, what changes are the features and some cooling... am i right or am i wrong?
am just looking for a nice stable board and was wondering if the PRO was good enough...
thanks

I think asus moved pcb fabs to china. My rampage formula has pcb made in taiwan. I think it hardly can make a difference.

Just received my P5Q Deluxe.
PCB made in China, and the sticker says Made in China too.
And the blue badge in the SB looks like it's not meant to be taken off. But atleast it's made of metal.
