    Its gotta be the MOBO

I have cleared Cmos , done the battery removal thing you name it.

    removed from case
    swapped CPUs
    swapped GPUs
    swapped Power supplies
tried every ram slot dual and single stick configs
    NO BOOT

put e8400 into my P5W 975 and it boots

IMO the mobo is the problem.

I can run the P5W for now until the P5Q comes back

anyone have any other suggestions???? or ideas??? beside RMA the mobo???

I had the hard drive disconnected

last ditch effort removed all jumpers

    put mobo to no OV

    put security jumper to default

    cleared CMOS and removed battery

plugged in ZM-1000-HP with both 4pins to the CPU and it booted.

put system back together with one 4pin and still booted

now the system won't load windows gets 1/2 way into drivers and crashes

    Thanks for the helpfull suggestions

PS: Don't need to be exact numbers, i wan't just a suggestions!
what is the options of memory divisor with this fsb?
    thanks!
Leave at first all voltage options on AUTO (except Vcore and Ram voltage)
    NB 1.2 will be enough
    FSB Term Voltage : 1.3
    CPU PLL : 1.6

But it can all be different with each CPU... try one setting at a time, if it posts test it thoroughly then adjust another setting... if you set them all at one time you won't find the bad setting if it doesn't post...

For the ram better go with 1:1 then so 450FSB will provide 900Mhz ram...

Reinstall the OS completely, it wil load different ( too old drivers ) and will prolly crash... a complete format is required here or to adjust some setting in the bios

What did you mean you set mobo to no OV ( did you set that jumper to OV ? )

In case anyone wants to know :
The P5Q-Pro doesn't have any backplates to prevent board warping, so you'll have to buy a separate backplate.

You went for the pro then Jupiler... hope it works out for ya sir

Due to numerous posts on this and other threads can everybody with this board make this check plz and PM me about results or just add them here

PLZ SET YA NB VOLTAGE TO 1.3 AND ADVISE ME IF IT POSTS YES OR NO... I have tested this at numerous FSB/RAM/CPU combos and each time I set 1.3 in bios, it results in a NO POST... higher or lower is fine on my board... 1.3NB V not...

    Thx in advance Leeg

    Well,
it's the only one my reseller could find and which he had in stock.
I took one with me for testing, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna try it.
There's also only 1 bios version available, and seeing that the first initial release for the deluxe seemed to have problems (which have been resolved with new Alpha releases), I'm kinda worried running into the same problems as you guys had in the beginning.

Hmm so there are two types of these boards, good and bad ones
I Think that I´m going to check NB heatsinks contact.

Can you post your bios settings for that? My maximum is 530MHz FSB with 1.56V NB

Too bad to hear mate, secondly the P5Q3 Dlx (DDR3) is not yet up to the little sis DDR2 level, but more than sufficient clocks for most users (500+) hope this board will bring ya more joy

Play with FSB Voltage, CPU GTL, NB Voltage, NB GTL and CPU / NB Clock Skew!

my board need first time 1.58v NB voltage for 600FSB, now can i boot 600FSB with
    1.42v in Bios (1.39-1.40v real)

    my Settings:

    FSB @ 1.24v
    CPU GTL @ 0.63 (both!)
    VDimm @ 2.40v
    NB @ 1.42v
    NB GTL @ 0.55
    SB @ 1.10v
    PCIe @ 1.50v
    CPU Clock Skew @ 400ps
    NB Clock Skew @ 200ps

Those stable settings Chris ? for 600/1200 prime ? might give it a go again then I usually set AUTO at first till it posts, then I back down NB voltage... I needed 1.5NB for the Small FFT's run 600/1200

BuldogPO has got the P5Q3 Dlx , no idea if it goes for him ( sure not ram voltage )

This board has bad mojo. I finally got stable with 4 gigs of Cellshock @ 425MHz, 400 FSB Strap @ 1133MHz 5-5-5-15-42 yesterday, prime ran for a little over 4 hours. I came home from work this morning turned on my computer and it booted fine and then went into BIOS just to check my settings. I then exited the BIOS without making any changes and for no reason that I can think of the computer hard boots and refuses to load. It just sat theere running without loading the BIOS. These were my settings:

    CPU Ratio: 7.5
    FSB: 425MHz
    PCIE: 101
    FSB Strap 400
    DDR2-1133MHz @ 5-5-5-15-42 the rest Auto
    DRAM Static Rd: Disabled
    DRAM Rd Training: Auto
    Memory OC Charger: Auto
    Ai Clock Twister: Moderate
    PL: 7
    All Pull-ins: Disabled

    CPU Voltage: Auto
    CPU GTL's: Auto
    CPU PLL: 1.50V
    FSB Term: 1.16V
    DRAM: 2.14V
    NB Voltage: 1.34V
    NB GTL: 0.67
    SB: 1.10V
    PCIE: 1.50V
    Load-Line: Auto
    NB/CPU Clock Skew: Auto

After I rebooted it reverted back to stock settings like it was recovering from a bad overclock even though I had no indication from Prime that anything was wrong.
For some reason certain voltages @ or above 1.30V on the NB make this board flaky. I'm going to run my NB voltages as low as possible running my 4 gigs @ 1066MHz and then work my way back up again to see if I really need voltages above 1.3V on my NB.

    Anyway......

Yeah, I don't know what to say. I'm priming 1066MHz 400FSB @ 1.24V on the NB and everything seems normal so far. Once I get it to where it fails I will bumo it up .02V and start pushing the FSB and see what happens. I hope there's another BIOS out soon. I could just be memory compatibility issues, who knows....
