    NEW MoBO = 000-C848DKJ-00952-80-MIB350-803-0308

SOO This is a newer verision than the DEAD MoBo
This will be interesting to see what they send back to replace the old bad MoBo

== also on the old MoBo = the Q connectors some of the outputs didn't function ,I can add that to also the #1 PCI slot shorted out

I just recently bought this board along with a Q9450 and TRUE. Have not ventured into overclocking yet. My temps with RealTemp at idle are 29/29/29/32 and at full are 39/39/39/42. I have not calibrated RealTemp yet, but do these sound ok?

Regarding the voltage settings above, what does cpu gtl x0.67 and nb gtl x0.67 do exactly? This is my first Intel based board in a long time, so I'm still learning. The cpu voltage is not shown in the above, is that correct?

Where do you read this line? And what's the revision of new mobo - still 1.00G?
    Thx

My board is working, i just plagged everything and start from first button. I need to reinstall the windows because my XP is a mess, i just unistalled all old 680i drivers from nvidia and installed Intel(R) Chipset Device Software 9.0.0.1008 but is a problem when i try to install Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager 8.2.0.1001, some error that my computer doesnt meet the requirement, any idea why this errror show up, can be because i disable JMicron PATA Controller in BIOS, im using all my devices on SATA, 2 HDD and 2 DVD. Is my first board with Intel chipset so any recommandation will be good. Thank you guys!

The SATA controller needs to be set to either AHCI or RAID for IMSM to install.

No it's not a newer version. That is just production information used to identify the board while in the factory. The only thing that indicates the version of the board is the reading which says 1.00G.

Can you tell me please your temps for NB in full load, lets say stress with Orthos?

How did u setup this options in BIOS:

    CPU Spread Spectrum
    PCIE Spread Spectrum
    DRAM Static Read Control
    AI Clock Twister
    AI Transaction Booster

Last thing, please recommand me how to stress my CPU, looks like with Orthos i need to start 4 times the program.

Edit later: Looks like with 4 Orthos is not working, some warning message: WARNING: Affinity Mask: Process: 0x2 Sys: 0xF, but i get the same warning if i use only 2 Orthos with affinity set it on 2 cores. So i need some advice how to stress my CPU?

There is a program called MCHTemp which can measure temp of Intel's NB
    http://cp.people.overclockers.ru/cgi...MCHTemp101.zip
Intel MCH chips do have internal digital temp sensor which can measure temp beginning from 50 C. Anything less than 50 is not shown in the program. The program really worked for me on P5k Premium (P35). On RF i saw temp over 50 C only once.

If the temp can only be measured starting from 50C, then why have I seen it below 30 in the BIOS? I am on water btw.

What shows bios (and other programs like everest, etc) is received through sensor which resides NOT in the silicon but somewhere on the PCB. MCHTemp gets its data from the digital sensor of the chip (the way Core Temp gets data from digital sensor located in CPU). MCHTemp reads temp directly from chipset. According to author (and intel documentation he refers to) this chipset DTS work only starting from 50C.
Supported chipsets: P35, P31, G33, G31, Q35, Q33, X38. X48 seems to be supported for me. The temp measurement is very accurate, as soon as i increase vNB or switch off fan temp MCH increases.

    Hi,

I have some questions on this board:

1- can I use the black Pcie x1 (PCIEX1_1 on the manual) with all pcie x1 cards or it can be used only with the supreme FX Audio card?

2- are the PCIEX1_1 and the slot PCI1 too near at ram slot?

    Regards

    Ugo

I got random BSOD running Prime95, everything looks just perfect for 40 min and after that just a fast BSOD. I tried all kind of settings, doesnt work for me to overclock this CPU, anybody please can help me with some good settings to overclock a Q9450 to 3200 Mhz (400 x 8) or to 3600 Mhz (450 x 8). Thank you!

    Hello all !

I actually need some for o/cing the Rampage Formula.

I'm nearly getting MAD about this mobo, for the following reason :

    - I have random "DET RAM" at startup for every o/c i've tried

    My specs :

    - Rampage Formula (BIOS 308)
    - Intel Q9300
    - 2 x 1GB Crucial Ballistix PC8500 (BL12864AA.16FD5)
    - Corsair HX 520 PSU
    - 8800 GTS 512

No matter what parameters (even for softs o/cings) I set, as soon as its not stock settings, I can have a random DET RAM at startup (cold boot or reboot).

I've even tried the cpu level up and Super Mem Profile (which apply an auto o/c based on your specs), its all the same (random DET RAM).

The thing is that - @ stock FSB, with stock strap (here being respectively 333Mhz and 333) - , I can run the memory at 667/800/1066 using the appropriate dividers without any DET RAM (this means the memory's not faulty), but as soon as I raise up the FSB..............a DET RAM can occured at startup.

Example of an o/c profile that is 100% stable (hours of prime etc...) but that leads to random det ram at startup :

    Code:
    - Ai overclock tuner : manual
    - CPU ratio setting : 7.5
    - FSB frequency : 400
    - FSB strap to North bridge : 400
    - PCIE frequency : 100
    - DRAM frequency : 800
    - DRAM comand rate : 2T
    - DRAM timing control : manual
    - CAS latency : 5
    - RAS to CAS delay : 5
    - RAS precharge : 5
    - RAS active time : 15
    - RAS to RAS delay : auto
    - Row refrsh cycle time : auto
    - Write recovery time : auto
    - Read to precharge time : auto
    - Read to write delay (S/D) : auto
    - Write to read delay (S) : auto
    - Write to read delay (D) : auto
    - Read to read delay (S) : auto
    - Read to read dealy (D) : auto
    - Write to write delay (S) : auto
    - Write to wrtie delay (D) : auto
    - DRAM Static read control : disabled
    - Ai clock twister : lighter
    + Tansaction booster : manual
    - Performance Level : 12
    - CPU Voltage : 1.25v
    - CPU PLL voltage : auto
    - North bridge voltage : 1.25v
    - DRAM voltage : 1.8v
    - FSB termination voltage : auto
    - South Bridge voltage : auto
    - Loadline calibration : disabled
    - CPU GTL reference : auto
    - North bridge GTL reference : auto
    - SB 1.5 voltage : 1.5v
    - CPU spread spectrum : disabled
    - PCIE spread spectrum : disabled
    Any help appreciated

I have one big problem regarding overclocking and prime95. I tried all kind of setting to reach fsb 400, 425 or 450 but everytime when i stress with prime95 on BLEND i take BSOD sometimes after 40 min, sometimes after 2-3 hours, is random, but if i chose Small FFT on prime95 i can run 10 hours without any BSOD. Any explanation?

    performance level 12??
and i thought i was nuts....
thers no gain then on ure rams.. infact might be worse than stock

    try this
    fsb strap at 333
    mem at 800mhz
    pll at 1.6
    nb at 1.35
ai clock twister at moderate/strong/very strong
transaction booster performance level at 8
    fsb termination at 1.2v
gtl at 63 for both nb and cpu's

Not with this motherboard but i changed 2 types of ram to be sure the ram is not the problem and looks like the ram is 100 % ok, i just finished 2 hours session of OCCT, no problem, 8 hours of SMALL FFT, no problem, the only problem is when i run BLEND on Prime95, random BSOD.

I would still run Memtest on it for peace of mind.
