    FOXCONN and 5:8 issue? - HIGH Dual Core FSB -

    Firstly I would like to dedicate this thread to "someone" who is a REAL quiter....
    IF you don't have the pattience and the guts to "seek" and "find" the sweet spots of any mobo, then DON'T touch it in your hands and ruin it OR EVEN speek bad words about it....
    The BIG joke is that you were used with the DFI ones which had a LOT of settings into their bios and you SHOULD be some kind familiar about them....
    DON'T expect to put the frequency and the ram timings and there you go....
    You HAVE to "seek" each mobo to find out how it works....If you don't, then you're a quiter and nothing more....

    NOW....

    Just a couple of screenshots for now till I fix the bios captured photos I did so users to see them and boot at HIGH FSB with the 5:8 divider (1:3.2)....

    This is with my crappy E8400 which did MAX screen 570MHz FSB on ASUS.....
    I'm waiting for an E8500 that does well to test it....

    HAVE you ever seen TIGHTER timings (or EVEN tRP = 4 with DDR3 Rams?)

    My CellShock rams always works at 2.28Volts
    VNorth = 1.594Volts
    VFSB = 1.4Volts (real)
    VPLL = 1.5Volts

    Wonderful settings Georgie... I always like to see timings tight as these, but you have the High FSB to bundle with it too so that is one of the nicest performance settings I've seen one run on an X48!

    Below are some bios settings for the E8xxx Dual Core CPUs with the 1:3.2 (5:8)....
    This way your mobo will boot.....
    These settings are on a RETAIL mobo.....

    When boot into windows, you could change them via MemSet as the picture above or so....

    These are the "Boot settings" for the 1:3.2 (5:8) .....
    VFSB is NOT 1.5Volts as bios shows......It is 1.4Volts REAL..... Bios always shows 0.1Volts more.....

    Vey nice Hipro, but the FSB looks like normal FSB for X38 or P35 boards, nothing special about that, except that it is on a BlackOPS X48 and many had problems with those. Still seems that BlackOPS is meant to be used with QX-es, not Wolfdales. However...rams are killers

    Anyway, thank you for this great guide on DualCores and BlackOPS, I am sure a lot of guys will find these settings very useful and it will help a lot of people

    Sorry, I have to answer the question;
    Yes, I have seen tighter timings, and on DDR3

    BlackOps makes steps these days, so we'd better be patience with them.....They give bioses every day with fixes and they make HUGE steps each time with them.....

    This mobo HAS FSB but it lucks with the dividers (1:3 and 1:3.2)...Now we have started to see some nice things going on and I'm SURE that in the end it will be a blast for E8xxx CPUs as well....

    So, you reached 580MHz FSB cpu-z screen stable, and 550MHz 1M stable ... great!

    But ... at what FSB is it 32M stable? Is the board completely unmodified? More importantly: could you make a similar thread that does not start with offensive words? Do you have a really good retail board, or can 50% of all boards do this? How good is that E8400 in combination with other boards?

    For High fsb clock , did you try CPU SKEW to 150 and less VTT voltage than 1.5v ?

    THIS IS my RETAIL board and FULLY UNMODED.....

    I can bench 580MHz FSB all 3Ds BUT not with the 1:3.2 (5:8) ...YET...
    I can bench 560MHz FSB all 3Ds (and boot at that FSB too) with the 1:3.2 (5:8)....
    .....PLUS that you have to take care that this is just the "begining" of the Dual Cores Overclocking with this mobo...No?......

    My E8400 ES CPU is completely crap.....It did on my ASUS mobos (Blitz Extreme, P5E3 WS Pro and P5W64) 3D Benchable ~ 550MHz.....PLUS that it NEEDS ~ 1.45VCore for 4000MHz......

    .....as for the others....no comments......

    George....I know what you mean, and we all appreciate their effort. But you know that Wolfdale FSB is limited by X48, just like X38 did, no matter what implementation, so this is not a BlackOPS problem, but an Intel problem. However.....maybe a P45 implementation from Foxconn...a new addition to the Quantum Force series.... would solve that problem, I just hope somebody doesn't need to be hipro5 to get >620 FSB on that

    So, this can be reproduced by someone who's not part of (or related to) the QuantumForce group? If so, it's a step in the right direction, definitly .

    By the way, can this board do the same FSB's in combination with multiplier 9?

    IF FOXCONN has sent me a "regular retail" mobo and not a "super dupper" one, then YES ANYONE could do this..... Rams tested though were either CellShocks PC14400 OR GSKILL PC12800 with the Micron D9GTR chips....

    multi x9 I have to put it under cold to test it.....

    By the way, I reckon you're using the new bios on this board? One that wasn't available about a week, maybe two weeks ago?

    No answer? I'd like to know if this 580FSB is also possible with previous bioses or if it's because of this new bios that the 580FSB is possible ...

    TRULY GREAT HIPR05

    Im glad you took the time to show what the board can do so we dont have to listen to anybody bashing it because they are mad because they dident get one for testing purposes but had to buy one.
