Ok, since I have the exact ram you're running, also in 4x2gb let me say this. 1081 is really really pushing them over the edge, especially with a quadcore. I bet 1066 will run with 2.1v vdimm as Grnfinger suggested. At 1066, you may even be able to drop the performance level to 7.

You can forget high fsb and run 9x400 and 1066 on ram PL6.

I've had 3 different sets of this RAM now, and you are hitting the top. I'm suprised it's not POSTing and least.

Have you pulled 2 sticks out and ran 2x2GB just to see where the weakness is? I'd try that just to see how much each set can do alone. Made any skew adjustments(Advanced 300 or 350)?

If you want to translate this Everest to BIOS settings you can try this, it worked with 2x2gb. If I didn't maunally adjust settings and just left them auto there was a few settings that wouldn't let me hit 565 until I adjusted manually.

Hear is a question that was maybe answered in this monster thread. Can we just share BIOS profile files for same revision BIOS? I had 2 boards here and never got around to trying USB flash swap of profiles between machines. SOmetimes I write down setting that worked and other times I don't would be nice to just name the fle and share the file.

Can you post your full bios settings? I want to hit 550 but can only max out at 540

    Even with 9x400 and 1066 on PL6, mine doesn't still doesn't work.

Ok I will give that a go.

Also everytime I make any changes to the bios, when save and exit, mine never post. I always have to turn off and on before I see the OC failed message.
