    as im in the market for a new powersupply for my air cooled beater rig now(in sig) im have been reading like a madman on powersupplys cause everyone knows u cant belive any hype.im returning the pc power silencer 610 sli p\s for something beefier.the 9900gtx is coming out so0n and my main has a 1250 in it now so its good for that card or 2(lol).but the beater rig needs some major power for my 8800gtx going in it soon and mabye a second one in sli down the road.dont get me wrong the 610 silencer in my view is flawless but want more juice period.johnny guru made me aware that cannel well are very good based oem powersupplys.so i been on the hunt for sub $200 range p\s.im going to microcenter tommorow to pick something up.before anyone throws newegg links up etc keep in mind i have $160 credit at microcenter+ $50 leftover from returning my enermax 1000dxx.($210 total budget)

    rofl cant belive i swapped both my new powersupplys out in less then a month,rofl?!?! i need quality not marketing crap!


    think im picking this up tommorow,thoughts??

    sweet. the Xigmatek I just bought NRP-MC751 is built by CWT which happends to make PSU's for PP&C. Looks like I got a good one.

    Nope - PC P&C's OEMs are Seasonic and Win-Tact.

    I have a Tagan TG480-U25, I guess the new ones are made by topower but I dunno about this one.

    Corsair 520HX is made by Seasonic, dunno about the newer ones though.

    And I'm pretty sure a Silencer 610 can handle an 8800GTX. I'm running an 8800GTX and an overclocked quad on my 520HX, been so for almost a year with no hiccups whatsoever.
