Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Tried to run OCCT the proc got too hot and the program quit. It may have gotten up to like 70. Im gonna try gaming on it while keeping an eye on the temp, and see what happens.

You can alter OCCT in the settings menu and set that too eg 80°C, it takes into account TJcasemax 105 while most peeps assume it's 95°C... so it's temp readings are 10°C off...

Guys, do you all have any idea how helpful it would be to include your chips VID with the batch number? We should keep track of this, as we must find good weeks, or maybe some kind of trend along with the batch numbers...heh

Are those temp readings right? Is your true running without a fan?

    CoreTemp 0.98.1 detect TjMax = 105* but CoreTemp 0.99 & RealTemp 2.5 detect TjMax = 95*.
I think CoreTemp 0.99 & RealTemp is right.

My system, ambident temp ~ 26*

I can not get 3.8 stable. I can get 3.6 stable with a max temp of 69c. But 3.8 I cant get stable orthos fails within 8 seconds.

    3.6ghz 1.3 VID, 1.2 VTT, NB 1.3
    3.8ghz 1.35 VID, 1.3 VTT, NB 1.4

I know I need a better cooler its comin later tonight im gonna try that Freezer 7 pro, heard it was pretty good for cheap.

If I cant get 3.8ghz stable I wont be able to get 4.0, which makes me a sad panda.

bang for the buck it's a nice cooler but no idea if it's enough for CPU's at 4ghz... woudl have been better to straight go for a decent solution mate ...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Well im getting the cooler from my boy for 10 bucks so its worth a try. I may just ask him to try it for awhile and if I get it to 4.0ghz then pay him lol. What would you suggest for a cooler for that high of a clock.
