No BSEL mod in mine and no mods on the board.

I had a E6400 before and I feel like it's a good upgrade, 3dmarks fly with E7200 and the 3870X2 loves the high clock.

My chip is handling good the Vcore, not to much heat given the cooling that I used (Scythe Ninja) and the ambient around 27°C, I think it can go further without any harm.

no bsel mod here, motherboard is completely stock.

this e7200 is making me wish i had a e8500 atm. superpi really could use that extra 3mb of cache. 9x500 only nets me around 11.2 seconds *untweaked*

Maybe you should play with 8M, the diference between E7200 and E8500 gets very very slim as the calculated number of pi digits grows

So NBF its seems that the E7200 has changed your mind sort of. Would you says its a worthy upgrade from your E6400?? I have the E4300 so im pretty sure your E6400 is better than that.

It's a fun chip, daily 4GHz will help with the gaming and for the benching we can squeeze more out of it.

If swapping cpus won't cost you too much money, then I consider it a very wise upgrade.

    I have a 45 vs 65nm comparison here, but it is a E6600 and E7200.

Why do a BSEL mod if you can use the BIOS?

I don't think it has a VID of 1.186, unless you meant to type 1.185 which would be very high. Use CoreTemp to check

At least you have good contact

when i set the vcore to 1,4 , the bios says 51° idle ! and orthos goes above 75°.

i have a TRUE and even my Q6600 at 1,6v wont run that hot. i remounted the TRUE already but it didnt make any changes.

    any suggestions ?

    Got mine from SCAN too
The default VID is quite high too - I think it's over 1.2V but would have to check when I get home.

Currently running it at 9.5 x 333 trying to set Vcore manually rather than Auto to see how low I can set it and be fully stable.
I have tried 9.5 x 400 with Vcore at Auto and it POSTED but I didn't try loading windows.

Seems a big improvement from my E4500 when converting DivX using ConvertX to DVD. I was getting 2.x times speed but now see about 4 times. I think its partly due to it using the new SSE extensions.

That's not VID mate, VID can only be read out by CPU-Z, Real Temp and coretemp...so you need to install the CPU

check my list for good or known batches

    http://users.pandora.be/OAP/wolfdaleOClist.xls
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
