    ASUS P5KC or P5K-E/WIFI-AP?

    Ave,

    ASUS P5KC LGA 775 Intel P35
    Vs.
    ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel P35

I'm looking to replace my P5W DH with a P35 Motherboard to get better OC results, and I'm looking at these two motherboards. The $14 difference is not an issue - but I don't really need Wifi-AP for my Desktop, so is there any difference between these two board, in terms of OC'ing/Performance?

I kinda like the P5KC cause I can add DDR3 if I want to. Other then that I just can't seem to find any difference between these two boards. I was going to go for the P5K-E/WIFI-AP but now I'm thinking about P5KC.

    Any suggestion?

You can get the P5K-E w/o wifi for $10 less at Newegg. The dual memory boards are not as good as the DDR2 only.

Actually I found that out as well after much searching around - Plus I really couldn't find much on the P5KC, but there's tons of good stuff about the P5K-E so I decided to go with P5K-E.

Other then that, the P5K-E w/o wifi has a $7.99 shipping (+$139) whereas the P5K-E/WIFI-AP is $149 + Free Shipping. Actual difference is $2.01 ... not worth it. I'll go with the Wifi.

P5K-E/Wifi-AP is the one for me!! I'm ordering it!!

@racergr: You have the same motherboard & CPU that I'll have in a few days, and pretty similar memory. Can you post/pm me your BIOS settings that you used to OC your CPU to 3.6GHz? Thanks!!!

how come you dont consider th deluxe version since it's same price after rebates?

and if u want the exact same OC settings, you might get higher or not as high since the CPU batches most likely arnt the same

Your Q6600 may need a bit higher VCore and PLL. This Q6600 is L731B. My old one was L739. With these settings, the L739 had 400x8, whereas this one has 400x9

    Choose a good batch

I would love to, but the problem is, I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Most likely, in fact quite certainly, I'll be buying the CPU from Newegg. I don't think I can choose a batch, ordering it from there. I'll be getting whatever they are shipping at this point.

But regardless, I think I'll do good with this setup! Thanks!
