    Talking Qx9650 + Evga 9800gx2

    Been a while since I played with 3dmark so I grabbed a EVGA 9800GX2 2nd hand last week It's also the first time using QX9650 L739A640 (not the L739A644) on Asus Blitz Formula and surprised by the 3dmark capable FSB this QX9650 L739A640 seems to be able to hit @480FSB!

    System:
    • QX9650 L739A640
    • CPU Cooling: Dtek Fuzion Rad Tower Box
    • Asus Blitz Formula 1402 bios
    • EVGA 9800GX2 stock hsf
    • 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2-8500 dual channel kit
    • Memory cooling: 120x25mm Thermaltake 81cfm fan
    • 80GB Hitachi 7K80 SATAII (WinXP Pro SP2)
    • 320GB Seagate 7200.10 SATAII (Vista Ultimate 64bit)
    • Pioneer DVD-RW
    • 1200W Silverstone OP1200
    • WinXP Pro SP2 Nlite Fully Updated.
    • Vista Ultimate 64bit

    QX9650 @4564Mhz

    Jumping straight to the juicy stuff @9.5x480FSB 4:5 600Mhz 5-4-4-9 for benchmarks

    3dmark06 = 24,317 compare
    3dmark05 = 30,739 compare
    3dmark2003 = 78,601 compare
    3dmark2001 = 91,631 compare
    Aquamark3 = 272,489

    More benchmarks here

    Do have plans to, was going to use Asus Blitz Extreme with DDR3 but seems Blitz Formula loves my QX9650 @480FSB! Maybe on phase can hit 500FSB ??

    Going to try cpu on Blitz Extreme first with Cellshock PC3-14400, pick which ever board has better max FSB for my QX9650 before freezing it
