    Why?
Added cost and latency for a slight increase in performance and power savings?
    .512bit x 2200 / 8 = 141Gbps
    More than enough bandwidth, hopefully.

I didn't know you can calculate bandwidth like that (Thanks for the info) but yeah that’s a lot of bandwidth about 80% more then my 8800GTX

probably will implement dx10.1 in their next gen micro-architecture. We know nvidia is cheap and doesn't want to add it now

personally, i didn't have any retail boxes in my hands before buying for over 5 years...

obvious? sry, but it's not obvious at all... S comes before T? so why didn't they choose a GeForce A1, A2 etc.. and GeForce B1, B2 etc... - THAT would be obvious, but not GT, GS, GTX and GTS.
if you'd have absolutely no clue about nvidia's naming scheme it's everything but obvious what GT, GS, GTS and GTX mean...
dude, you know who has a similar naming scheme to Nvidias new one? BMW, and so far its worked for them.

and by the way, your order is wrong, GS, GT, GTS, GTX, I think you are confusing yourself. and GTS is a combination of GS and GT, which would be better, no? A1 A2 is pretty much the same exact thing, but it sounds stupid.
This post above was delayed 90 times by Nvidia. Cause that's their thing, thats what they do.

i was refering to their old naming scheme, not the new one.

the order of my listing wasn't meant to be ordered by performance/target market - i've just wrote the names down.
