I see some vendors in Germany are selling out of Gigabyte boards, discontinued product lines. The P35-DS3 is a dead line for sure. Many other boards are out of stock. Guess thats it for P35 and X38, they'll move all production lines over to X48 and P45.

Fist of all check that your sound card is on the first PCI from up to down, not the last, because the last shares a physical IRQ with other devices.

Is there a good way to figure out what the motherboard chipset is getting as far as voltage goes? Is there a program for this that I can use?

amazing temp for such a high clock speed.

ive just had to turn mine down from 3.2 to 2.8ghz?(quad) during these hot days. i'm at around 64c at 100 percent (prime @ 2.8ghz , coretemp) using a Scythe ninja.
then again it is hot here.

i was at 3.24ghz at around 60c during the winter. i got a shock last week when the sun came out.

(Oh sorry you did already post a screenshot)

Wow thats the best one i've seen. I think you are lucky because thats the only one ive seen that doesnt have spikes.

Ya i have it in the first (highest slot). I have tested in many different ways, with clean installs, sound card in , sound card out , different video cards, different ram, PSU etc etc.

I only notices it when i added a pci-e 2.0 video card to my system. When i had a pci-e 1.0 card like you it was ok so i dont know.

Truehighroller i dont think there is a program that can tell you that.

Sorry I didn't noticed that you have a PCIe soundcard. Mine is only PCI.
Try to remove it and remove anything on PCI / PCIe, except your VGA, and do some testing.

Well what happens if till the end of year Intel, finishes the new memo controller included CPUs ?
Will you buy another one, and change the CPU ?
Buying a new mobo right now, is like throwing the money on the window.
I think, I'll wait and see what intel is cooking.

^...um, yeah!...i'll see what LGA1160 looks like and how much it'll cost to upgrade. I'll still probably transition anyways...though it's gonna be expensive as i'll need a new mobo/CPU and DDR3 memory.
