Probably the same thing that many in the food service industry do, stop paying their bills, and when their vendors stop filling their orders they jump ship.

    Happens all too often.

Well I only ever bought my bba 9700pro from them but it was a great deal at a pc trade show when they came upto canada. For some reason they had them 100+dolllars cheaper then any other vendor, so maybe some bad math led to their downfall.

    D@M IT!!! I LOVED CLUBIT!!!

    ARRGGGG!!!!

being on the distribution side of things i see this happen all the time.
starts with payments getting later and later until payments they owe distributors are rolling 6 months and all you can get out of them is a $50 payment.
then,, one day they close their doors.

I want to know where all their hardware went.
if they filed Chapter 7, and i do not know what 7 is, do they auciton off their current stock in the warehouses? what happens.

its really a shame, clubIT had some of the best customer service on the phones out of any of the many websites out there.

May you rest in piece ClubIT!!

Yummy some good deals are going to be had really soon. Tons of PC-Club Stores around me. But its sad to see them go. I built my very first custom computer by buying parts from them. I remember it was a Socket A Althon Tbrid 850, MSI KT133 board and 256MB SDRAM. The good times, the good times.

This is sad news as the folks at the Thousand Oaks store were always good to me.

The ClubIT website now says that both PC Club and ClubIT have closed. I hope the employees land on their feet.

PCCLUB... wow, I bought my P35 DS3L from them a while ago, I really never bought frequently there because of the high prices, there is a local store however that kicks them in the nuts with their low prices, anyway when are they getting that clearance sale going??

wow cant believe this. They were a really great company.
i can understand how the employees feel after my boss didnt pay his taxes, and outta the blue the IRS shows up and shuts us down.
none of us knew, we were all shocked. we were closed for a week now back open under chapter 11. kinda sucks not knowing if ill have a job the next day...
