Ahh that 7.8 earthquake. Pretty big one happened but I didn't feel a thing. Very fortunate for us. I do know that at the CBD (central business district), evacuations were held for some of the big buildings.
As for the crunching, making our way to 6mil. Easing our way there. hehe

You have plenty of time to play with those cpu's before Nehalem will be out.
The first Nehalem chips will be very expensive , like the QX9650.
I think we'll have to wait until Q2 2009 before the first 'affordable' Nehalem chip is available.

One of the e8400 just got exchanged for the q9300,hmm, testing as we speak.
I aint gonna overclock this one it seems, way to hot(its a bit cramped in the htpc setup). Hitting 60 degrees celsius on two, and 59 on two with coretemp.
Im using a zalman c9700 copper cooler thingy in a Thermaltake lanbox ht.. Guess i can live with that, but i think it was a bit high
