Should be interesting, either Nvidia is very stupid starting war with Intel or they have something seriously impressive up there sleeve. Somehow I doubt the something really impressive is GT200 but we will have to wait and see...

GT200 is going to be powerful as hell, but also expensive to make, the PCB will be expensive, the memory chips are expensive, etc. It's product to show that NVIDIA is number one graphics circuit maker and that it can make something like this. Extreme high-end is rarely a product for anything but showing off.
Which means that GT200 is not something NVIDIA can actually use to go up against Intel since it won't be economically feasible. Very few will actually buy it. It's not something to be afraid of, at least not for Intel.
Considering the early yield problems of G92, I can't imagine GT200 would get such great yields that NVIDIA can actually make loads of them.
Now if NVIDIA would come up with a circuit that was cheap to make, offered great value and performance, and was accessible to everyone, now that would scare Intel...

I have seen a 2 fold increase in GPU upgrades from console junkie buds of mine. 1/2 get 96, the other 88. I believe G92 did that for them. Maybe GT500 will be that card.Surely they could simplify things and name the boards something like, "Shelby GT 500"
What if we could have Driver 500 and card 500?
