I flashed to 0702 just minutes ago. Was able to use EZFlash utility with this bios - Unlike 0701.

Thanks bench for keeping us in the loop with bios releases.

Yes, you need to use AWDflash Guacomole.
Jumping from a version to another via EZ-Flash is a 50-50 procedure. It all depends on which version you are running and which one you're trying to flash.
AWDflash is the tool to use for any version

    Yes 3D stable.
So you used the AM2 bracket? cause 775 thing wouldnt fit... and I think AM2 bracket is pretty big and doesnt fit on the board holes.

No matter what i do, i cant get 3d stable, ill just have to wait for a new BIOS that works.
I have an idea about why you are not 3D Stable, i had the same issue with my 9800 GTX SLI.
Give me a PM with your msn adress so i can give you some advices about it

For the IFX I just followed regular 775 installation and it went perfectly well, i don't understand why you find that strange

Also as this topic is about corruption issues please give me a PM if you need more informations about this as i don't want to go away from the main topic.

Guys when you're reporting your stable settings, make sure you include the Memory Mode ( Linked with divider, Linked-Synch, Unlinked and which frequency ).
We need to find out if it's a divider issue.

i flashed to 0702 bios last night i have a striker II and before with all the other bioses i would end up corrupting my windows partitions when attempting any type of overclock i tried various settings previously and none made any difference but the same setting i used before 1800QDR linked & synced appears to be working great now with this new bios i havent ran prime95 yet as im still working on the voltages and lowering the temps since my air cooler is a crappy one but the system seems to be 3dmark stable and my pc has been running overnight without any lockups or bsods. about to head to work now so ill try and do some testing later tonight. hopefully this bios is the answer we've all been waiting for.

here are the settings i am using

    QDR 1800
    RAM 1800 (sync mode) 1:2

cpu settings disabled all cores enabled
    spread spectrums disabled
    Jmicron Controller disabled
    Vcore 1.35000v
    LLC Enabled
    VTT 1.28v
    Ram 1.86v (1.90v real)
    NB 1.46v
    SB 1.55v
    Rest on Auto

I have found an interesting issue. I have two OC systems, Vista Ultimate 64 is installed on 2xRaptor 150 in RAID 0, XP is installed on Seagate 500Gb HDD. With exactly the same settings in hardware Vista is unstable (can't pass Prime95 and Everest stability test), and XP is rock stable. I have no corrupted files in Vista, checked the HDD several times. The failures are relative to CPU, and I can get it to work stable only at sock settings or close to them, if I overclock, I have random errors. Windows memory test works fine, those failures happen only with heavy CPU load or -randomly - in games.
Temp on CPU are not an issue - it is watercooled and during the heavy tests temp is not going up above 60C.
Also errors happened with pretty low CPU frequency, like at 3.6GHz, and I had been able to run XP with an air cooler at 4.14GHz having no problems.
It seems that something doesn't work correctly in Vista - either a part of OC, some drivers or ... ?

I think I have always had that experience that I can be rock solid on XP and unstable on Vista.. The reality for me is that Vista is much more memory and bandwith oriented operating system that stresses your hardware with average use, much harder than XP.. I usually had to up my CPU voltage and NB to get the same settings stable on Vista. Actually always, now I just use vista and I know for certain if I am stable on Vista then I am stable on XP...

EDIT: I see how you installed it. I was doing it the other way, horizontal bases and vertical retention mechanism. Dam if I had just noticed that lol!
But, changing from Ultra120 Xtreme to IFX-14, would it make a big difference? It would take me some time to change this and since the Ultra 120 has 2 extra pipes I wouldnt like to change and see no improvement.

Have you tried moving a file to another HDD? What about using sfc /scannow?

    could it be fsb related?
can you run the same cpu speed under vista with a lower fsb and higher multi maybe? or same fsb and lower multi to make sure its not the fsb but really the cpu?
what kind of errors do you get in vista?

I think the fact that this thread got really quiet shortly after the release of 702 speaks volumes

But isn't the 702 only for SIIE? What about people with reference boards?

I think the MAJORITY of issues have been felt by us poor saps who were suckered in by ASUS...
