Surely it's also possible that Ati wants to keep info and performance estimations a secret for as long as possible, with nvidia still tweaking their next release.
I prefer being negative. Then, if RV770 is a kick ass product, I'm going to be happier. I don't know what to expect after R600, you know. If launch is in early June, there should be samples and preliminary benchmarks floating around.
