I'll post screenshots tonight. Just got my system back from an all-weekend LAN party and haven't had time to set it up yet. Bought a new case and added 3 exhaust fans to the top. Also have a 120mm fan mounted on a bracket that is parallel to the side panel and positioned directly over the expansion card slot area of the motherboard. I'm sure the excellent case cooling isn't hurting

Running 1 instance of RTHDRIBL at full screen with max res and AA is better than even running 4-6 instances

^ Yeah, you're absolutely right. RTHDRIBL with the skull as the model with everything max + aa for about 2 hrs heats up my vid card more than anything.

1920 x 1080 8x AA still doesn't heat up as much as ATI Tool on my setup.

ATI tool is 6c lower than RTHDRIBL, your the first one that ive heard on ATI tool getting hotter than RTHDRIBL.

I want a VGA cooler that will work using 8800GT cards in SLI. I would like to use the Zalman VF1000 but I'm not sure that the SLI Bridge will fit. Take a look at these photos that I found on the net. Won't the heat pipe interfere with the SLI Bridge?

If you're running 8800GT SLI then what air cooling are you using?

If you look hard enough you can eventually find what you want to know.

    I first found this link…

    http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=4789

As you can see the hard SLI Bridge won’t work but if you have the flexible one it will. I later found this link…

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...postcount=2484

Although his signature says this is Sapphire 3870 with Zalman VF1000 in Crossfire they look like a pair of 8800GT cards using a flexible SLI bridge. I happen to have a SLI Bridge that looks just like that one.

I’ve ordered a Zalman VF1000 and if it fits like I think it will then I’ll soon have a pair of them in SLI.

Got a V2 for my GT about two weeks ago and am very glad I did. Temps are pretty much the same as the review, 41C Idle, 55C Load, 32C Ambient.

Currently have the 100mm fan from the Scythe Mine resting ontop of the cooler (inverted motherboard thanks to PC-A05) with it sucking air from the cooler, here's a pic.

Kinda hard to see but the space where an 80mm fan would fit snugly allows some air to be drawn into the fan. Temps are 3-4C cooler with the fan pulling air from the cooler, but this may be due to the way my case airflow is with two 120mm fans blowing air out the top of the case.

Thanks for this thread showing that the V2 fits the GT, and that it was the only cooler under $35 I could find that would fit in next to the reservoir.

Looking nice chewbenator , but resting your fan on your hs isn't such a good idea, I had a 120mm resting on my HR-03 R600 and it shook the whole time . So a lot of vibration came of of it. Ecpecially when booting up. Other than that great job.

I have a Zalman VF1000 + Thermalright Chill Factor which works pretty well. The fan at low speeds keeps the card at about 40C, and under load it gets up to 50C at 690MHz core, 975MHz memory. I just re-seated the cooler with Arctic Silver 5, added Thermalright PWN heatsinks over the 'FETs and over the last couple of days my max stable overclock has actually gone DOWN! I don't know if the card is just aging, but now when I play Counterstrike: Source at 1680x1050, max settings, 16x anisotropic filtering, 8x AA, it hangs after about 3-5 minutes. Now, my max stable overclock is 680MHz core, 975MHz RAM.

I am really rather disappointed with my max stable overclock. It seems low for how cool the card is. I was thinking of flashing the voltmod BIOS, but if I hang after 5 mins of gameplay that indicates that heat is limiting my overclock, and I don't know if more voltage is a good idea.

I got my Zalman VF1000 and have installed it. Instead of using Zalman's VGA Ram Heatsink I used the Cooling Kit by iandh.

I used a flexible SLI Bridge to connect the cards.

This was the first time installing SLI and at first I couldn't get it to work. I eventually removed and reinstalled my video driver and that did the trick.

Using Everest here are my load temps:

    GPU #1 (w/ Zalman VF1000)
    GPU: 43c
    GPU Memory: 35c
    GPU Ambient: 36

    GPU #2 (EVGA 8800GT Stock)
    GPU: 66c
    GPU Memory: 58c
    GPU Ambient: 54c

As soon as I get my tax refund I'll get another iandh cooling kit and Zalman VF1000.

So I ordered the AC Accelero S1 Rev 2 but the turds over at [H] are saying it won't even run passive.

Also, does it need heatsinks on the voltage regs or am I fine without them as long as one of the two 120mm fans I'll put on it is blowing on them? I have the superclocked EVGA one right now and I'd like to bump it up to 700 core and w/e on the mem.

Typically you save the picture and host it on your own. Otherwise you're forcing membership to some website.

Well I got mine today and installed it. Unfortunately the manual blew so it took a little longer than expected. Not to mention I was a perfectionist when cleaning up the extremely sloppy core area.

volucris, have almost the same setup here!

have you ever touched the ramsinks? after a hour in crysis the got hot i hardly can touch them. also i did not install any sinks on the voltage regs as the installation instructions on the arctic cooling website states.
may be i put some enzotech sinks on them later.

but my biggest concern at the moment is the high temp on the ram sinks!

temps are fine tough! 55C after an hour crysis. vga ambient about 40C. room temps between 23C and 25C ...

anybody else seen this high ram sink temps?
