I think it's better to write down some components numbers cause zooming in on your pictures looks like a cell-phone pic.

Try to focus/adjust towards some components like IC's and all.

that's a good idea wright down all the ic's on the card and post a pic of the hole card and put the names of the ic's next to them

It seems that the quality of the pics have been reduced a lot by paint (sorry)

Is there any VGPU Pencil Mod for Powercolor HD3870 PCS with PCB V1.0?

I´ve found a pencil VGPU-Mod.
But what about one for Mem and how to find the voltage-reading points?

Im also wondering about such a mod for a HIS3870 Iceq3 card. A guy in a German forum mentioned about it.

I'm gonna shoot my card and i guess Vatos_locos will find that damned mod! By the way, if noting is found, i will found i myself (even if it means killing a card) !

50k where ? we need a good photo of the card and the ic's and their datasheets to figure something out measures are good for info but we still need the photo of the card...

Ref. design, Club3D 3870.. I was just wondering which vCore you got with the standard vCore mod where you need 100k pot @ 50k? I only have a 50k pot atm..

oh in the ref. design with a 50k pot you get ~ 1.4 - 1.45 it depends not so good if the card is on air cooling...

Damn. This evning I did a horrible misstake. I changed the pot to my hardmod with a faulty pot. I heard a biiip from something in my case and now I have f**ed up my brand new 3870. I probobly ran way to much voltige throug my card.

I have no idea what I broke but now I got huge artifacts and I can only run windows in safe mode.


Anyone have any ides. Is it possible to repair, does anyone made the same misstake? Are there any tools for finding what broke?

Would really appriciate any tips / info.
