    My sample block didn't... but, after checking a few boxes, it looks like all of the final retail blocks do include a hex key to take the block apart.

    I like the looks and after seeing the lack of consistency in the V1 mounting, I'm thinking the pro mount for V1 or this new mounting on V2 should help with consistency of mounts.

    The only performance difference I can see is the sealed chamber which you already get with the nozzle kit using the washer.

    That's still good though, I think the washer in the stock kit does MOST of the performance advantage of the nozzle kit. And the pro-mount of the V1 is now standard in V2.

    Looks to me like:

    Performance would be the same unless you're comparing V1 without a washer.

    V2 = V1 + Nozzle Washer

    and you get one more quad nozzle option.

    Only thing I can't see is if this new midplate/o-ring bowes the base more than the V1 Fuzion midplate does. That could have some advantage over V1 in a more bowed base. You could still do that with V1 by using an o-ring instead of the kit washer, but it's not part of any kit.

    I guess im having signs of having bad luck already with preparing my first watercooling rig First is that I am having no luck contacting anyone on ekwaterblocks online store for the status about my order of gx2 waterblock for 3 days now and now this... could it be that I am not meant to continue my watercooling adventures?
    That would be because EK are on holiday till Tues / wens

    I sent them a nasty email regarding the allen wrench . You spend 70$ on a block and you don't even get the allen wrench .

    I just bought my V1 this week and honesty I'm pissed off . I hate when this happens.
    short answer is yes although there have been comments about this made already and i know D-Tek is working on something better.

    We actually got the D-Tek FuZion V2 in today, and that is the one you are receiving for your order.

    I like the newer smooth lines. Kind of reminds me of a headcrab on Half Life..

    The solidly attached lower mounts should help with mounting consistency, I like the lower mount.

    Definitely easier to mount and looks slick. Useless areas are been removed and, reconstructed the inside! Copper plate been enhanced for better conductivity!! Can't wait the results and tests.

    seriously though, how much better do these perform than the v1's w/ quad nozzle. im a friggin addict and my computer doesnt stay assembled for more than 2 weeks at a time. some one help me with this addiction

    i wonders if the quad mid-plate would fit on the v1

    Ahh crap! Why does I'm always the last to know about these things They should have at least made an announcement from their website about a long holiday (unless im completely blind and missed it)

    I jsut hope they wont get mad at me once they're back because I'd sent a lot of emails to them for follow-ups and order cancellation

    Actually I'm doing thermal testing on my V1 as we speak. I've already run 5 mounts on the stock, and now on the 3rd mount for a 4.5mm nozzle plus washer. I'll post some results later this weekend.

    Bravo to D-Tek for publishing more scientific data...

    This is the new curve they have published, at about 2 GPM, pressure drop is about 3 PSI, so it's a bit more restrictive than the V1.

    Here is the old V1 curve they had published:

    So it's about 36% more restrictive than the original curve.

    And these were my own results of V1. From my own testing I recorded the V1 plus washer plus quad core nozzle to be about equal to their V2 curve.

    So it's a bit more restrictive, but I think it's a fair trade to seal that internal leak.

    Per the C/W data, at 2GPM the difference is .04C/W so for a 100 watt heat load the improvemnt would be .4C.

    I'm just not sure what the original c/w curves were based on. I found the pressure drop curve that was posted for V1 actually was much closer to matching restriction similar to the V1 with washer than the V1 without washer, but my block was previously bowed, so I couldn't say for sure.

    Trying to measure .4C differences on a block is pretty tricky though when you can have up to 2C error between mounts. It would take alot of testing mounts.

    I've seen this question asked a couple times with no answer given.

    No, the Delrin sections of the v2 (internally and externally) are vastly different from the v1. The v1 has a solid mid plate that is also external whereas the mid plate on the v2 is completely internal.

    Ahh... I got that wrong

    At 2GPM

    V1= .028
    V2=.025

    Difference = .003c/w
    .003C/W x 100 watts = .3C

    But the quads run up to 200 watts or so I've heard, so the gain could be more with those hotter quads. They also seem to have put some extra emphasis in that quad nozzle, so who knows how that does.
