some live and die by this bench...i was just comparing like for like with the same cpu speed.

Im going to quote what i said in my thread....Phenom seems to run games better...slower, yes, but smoother, and im getting this info from tier 1 video card reviewers who bench all the games.

So if the FPS matter to you then yes go Intel, but i believe most like smoothness under full load and this is where Phenom seems to be better.

Also drivers for the ATI cards will get better and performance will increase, most games are getting GPU limited again, so there is more to come thru driver.

Im all for speed, but I want smoothness also and going by what im hearing amd seem to have the edge.

i own a phenom just doesn't seem fair saying 4 way crossfire is faster when in some games the gx2 walks over 4 way crossfire.

I'm personally going to get it because of the bios. I'm just very fond of the extreme tweaker. That and I need better monitoring than what my board provides right now, mostly voltages because not even my ram voltage is read.
Not much to say right now.

does anyone have even the slightest idea of US availability on this board? I've been waiting for it from the time it was "Announced" over a month ago. This is becoming worse than the dfi 680i board launch

Haha, some Im not the only Dutchnut being em0. But yes, I want SB750 now.

I'd like to try out the Crosshair II though to see if my 9850 is simply crap or it's really the SB issue, but I dont see the point since I want to use Crossfire... Could as well throw in SLI, but I dont like nVidia (and actually Ive a good argument, not blatent fanboy-ism. I dislike their drivers a lot, that's about it but enough of a reason for me personally).

Both the M3N-HT and the Crosshair II are available here in Greece now apparently. What's curious is only Asus(and ASrock) have announced 780a/750a boards afaik. I guess they got all the early chips. Anyone know if DFI is working on a 780a board?
**EDIT** I just saw MSI also has one link Even has a XFi audio daughtercard

You can see MSI 780a here, they fixed all the hardware issues and complaints we had with their 790FX: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200...e_780a_mobos/2

Overall, the 780a boards look like the MFGs waited to find all problems in their 790FX designs and fix them up with these next iteration boards. Even the PWM and layout is better, boards are supposed to be much better for high power, memory, stability and overclocking in general although the 780a chipset itself runs hot and needs good cooling.

I would look to Foxconn Destroyer 780a, probably will be the best 780a offering IMO; Foxconn has the old DFI team and of course, Shamino

KTE, in your opinion, do you think the idle unstability is a chipset related issue? Because I'm considering selling the K9A2, and there are rumours about the new AMD boards with SB750 being able of overclocking a little further. Maybe this nVidia based chipset will make my BE9850 stable at 3Ghz, and the BIOS of the MSI K9A2 isn't very "overclocker-friendly" IMHO

I've been working since Friday 11PM, I need a reboot, my spelling s*cks right now. :$

DAMNIT!!! I have the money waiting for a 780A board to just be available in the retail market, if I could get my hands on one, I would review the living out of it just to show if nVidia was able to bring back the crown like they did with the nForce 2/4. Plus I would love to be able to use SLI if I decide to drop money on another 9800GTX

NCIXUS has the M3N32-HT for $241 in stock.

I am waiting for either the Foxconn Quantum-Force Destroyer or the ASUS Crosshair 2 Formula

No, I get it on all boards
It's a Phenom B2 and B3 issue, one of the cores is weaker than the rest i fyou have it.
Try individual core clocking and you'll find which one.

Look at me, 2.85G fully stock voltage stable on any board - 2.8G failed idle on all boards.. so I tested and so far found core 0-1-3 can do 2.8G 100% stable for over 20 hours but core2 looks like it can't. More testing underway right now

Also found core1 can do 2.9G stock volt stable too - I wonder which other ones can

I dont like AOD, and I hardly know something about that registry tool...

Is there anywhere some sort of guide and general info about the registry tool? Like, does it work as Atitool, Windows starts, profile loads, done?

This post was done in a hurry, could google but not now so any info when I log on tomorrow would be nice:p. Will do some googlework tomorrow too of course mself

I see more paid folks showing results.
    Per usual..

Maybe Nvidia and the 780a board folks will actually release these boards instead of sending assassins with top bin chips to showoff their wares.....

I've seen an ASUS board for sale...$260. bah, are you serious, this is a fledgling chip, that is seriously struggling to get some attention from the BEATINGS AMD has been getting...

Thanks for the New Board and Binned chip results, at least we know that if we score the lottery, we can get good results.
