Hello all. Fresh from ASUS MF/Rampage. This is my third Lanparty mobo. I had the 680i LT (horribly slow), X38 LT that died after the first day (88), and now this one here.

I've read through this whole thread and much of what Clunk has to say over at his site--a good use of vacation, wife does not agree--and I can say that I'm going to be very happy with this board.

I am happy to see that the board was made in Taiwan and not China, not too many high quality products comming from China right now. My X38 came out of China as did my Asus MF which was slowly dying over the last few weeks.

So anyway, look forward to contributing and learning...just wish my vacation was not overwith tomorrow.

Yea, i've had my jumper setup and my keyboard shortcut for a while. It'll resume from standby once perfectly but after that it's a no go.

What BIOS do you have? I had that problem with the earlier version of CPU-Z and with the X38 board ... but I thought that had been fixed with Frank's latest version of CPU-Z ... ???

have been playing with this board for about 8 hours now (LT)
got a MCW30 on the northbridge.. doesn't go past 32c on full load..

I bought it because I needed a replacement board while my Maximus Formula was in the RMA process. Looks like i'll be selling my ASUS board when it gets back.

This board is a lot better then my maximus, its tons more stable and requires a lot less voltage on the cpu and the northbridge. DFI really improved on their auto settings as well. This board def. rocks. My firewire speed has gone up dramatically.

I currently use a NB of 1.30, VTT of 1.35. any higher causes crashes in OCCT. I'll post my bios settings when I can see better (its late).
What bios? does that beta work for the p35 ut t2r?

If you succeed in flashing the X48 BIOS to the P35 it will be the last flash the board sees for a while.

Is there a memory mapping option hidden somewhere in the BIOS? Both CPUz as well as Everest show that I am using 4 DIMMs but I only show 2200MB of free memory with only 22% usage. Also when I installed the high res mod for HL2/Ep1/Ep2 I got a warning saying that my system did not meet their minimal requirement of 3Gigs of RAM. Thanks....

Running XP? Take into consideration the memory that is being used by the GX2 and sound card along with the 22% usage that is being reported and 2.2GB remaining is in the ballpark.

I switched out my 4 gigs of Mushkins and replaced them with 4 gigs of my Patriot PC2-8500's and its still acting like I am using a 32 bit OS when I am actually using XP x64.
I've looked through the BIOS, I'm using the latest version, and I can't find anything mentioning Memory Mapping. Like I mentioned previously, both everest and CPUz show 4 DIMMs but the usage being reported does not add up and then there was the instance of installing that HL2 mod which reported that I did not meet their 3 gig requirement.
I'm also wondering if this is what was causing VMware to crash when I tried to install Ubuntu.
    Any ideas??????

I had the same problem, I just got fed up with XP 64 and its cumbersome drivers and just made the switch to Vista x64. I really didn't want to but dudeee its much better. Vista flys with 4gigs..
