hdd thread?
yeh storage thread to take more advantage of a system.. like nero, dvdshrink do
but if the whole intent was cpu bench only.. then its cool as is
i noticed @ Fuggers results that pass1 = 4 threads yet pass2 = 8 threads
Fugger should be getting 160+ fps @ pass1 because hes getting 40+ fps @ pass2
can you make pass1 @ 8 threads?
or am i missing smgt..

Just to compare->
Both the above alongside Phenom 9850 BE in XP 32b:
2500MHz CPU 2000MHz NB 800 RAM 4-4-4-12-15 Ganged
2700MHz CPU 2000MHz NB 800 RAM 4-4-4-12-15 Ganged
2nd pass looks very MEM intensive.
They'll be better Unganged mode and even better in 1066 mode.. but this MB/BIOS has trouble POSTing 1066 mode for now![]()
Well, I'm busy testing much for now so can't repeat them but this is my setting now - one I'm testing.

I executed twice this benchmark :
first one :
Then the software asked for :For accurate results, do NOT use your PC during the tests.
CPU priority for x264.exe is set to HIGH!
SINCE IT'S HD THIS CAN TAKE TAKE A LONG TIME SO PLEASE BE PATIENT!

Do you want to run the benchmark using the newer version of x264[Y,N]?
And i answered "Y"
here is the result :
Now starting the benchmark encoding a 720p (1280x720) HD sample.

Does it support 8 cores and x64 OS? If so I'll give this a try...
Edit: Okay, half of the bench uses 8 cores while the other half does not... strange but what the heck, here are my results:

Technically, the bench is using all 8 of your cores all the time... the first pass of the encode is simply not as CPU intensive as the 2nd half. See the question about 100 % CPU usage in the FAQ for more.
I'll add your results to the and they'll go live when I update again... btw, you have a smokin' fast machine. It's currently the 3rd fastest in the entire db.
Thanks!
Thanks, it's not even using quadchannel yet (only 2 dimms installed) and 430 FSB is my 24/7 primestable setting. Who's #2? I can go up to ~447 benchable
Also this was after ~2weeks uptime![]()
Ok, can't beat 3,8 or Fugger's machine, of course. But the 3,23 one is mine, no?![]()

Seems nothing reads this boards sensors right yetAlso are your temp readings taking into account that the TjMax = 95°C for this chip and not 105°C?

^Nope, I'm on air w/ windows open and the case door open. I can make a temp corrections in the BIOS I believe but I just use Real Temp for CPU readings and everest for NB, SB, PWM, GPU, and such. Right now I am folding @ 100% and my cores are at 45, 43, 39, 40 w/ Real Temp and 55, 53, 48, 49 w/ Everest--give or take a degree.
I'll try to post my stock numbers on Wednesday.
