    P5E (X38) + Q6600 overclocking help

    Hi,

Just upgraded to this board from a GA-P35-DS4. On that board i could be 3dmark stable at 3.96ghz and run normally at 3.6ghz.

As that was a fairly basic bios with voltage and FSB changing but this bios on the ASUS board [never had a Asus board] is really complicated and has many options that i have no idea what they are.

I am able to run my q6600 at 3.8ghz with most things set on auto [except fsb, cpu voltage and ram speed/timings] but from what i've read this can push some very high volts through it.

So what i need is a tutorial about the overclocking of and proper setup of this board and how to overclock the Q6600 properly and a description of all the various options [Which i guess is common thought most Asus X38 boards]

    thanks

That guide should help you out.
