if you mean the gt200 then it may be another high cost card.
$500 seems low

I've put away £650 for it just in case (that's $1300)
the 9800gx2 already costs $900 in the uk ($830 if you know where to look)

8800GTX was $550ish when it came out, I don't see a reason why this card should cost anywhere near $1300. But then again, I don't pay VAT so cheers to you.
