Strange problem maybe with Rampage Formula

Now I overclocked my Q9450 to 3360 fsb at 420MHz, 333 strap te V-Core in Bios is set ti 1.2750 the NB is 1.35 V the 1.3 V everything is at low voltages and my systems boots fine I run OCCT for an hour no errors also Prime95 for an hour also no errors BUT when my system is in idle mode I leave it to download something it restarts every time after about 10 minutes. When my system is not overclocked it doesn’t restart. I also noticed that increasing V-Core helps like I reached about 1.3250 V-core in BIOS it’s 0.2 actual around 1.31 V real. Does anyone have this issue or suggest something.
Thanks to ATI the Prices are The Way they are Meant to be.

What happens if you leave the strap to AUTO ? I used to have about the same issue like you being able to prime for hours, yet lauching some stupid program ( like messenger ) it rebooted on me... upping Vcore and NB voltage ironed that out... can you post all of ya settings you set

ok I'm at work now but I will post my BIOS specs when I get home it’s very frustrating issue I really tried a lot of different settings but so far without a result.

Maybe your problem is your memories u use or DRAM voltage

Try upping NB voltage abit to eg 1.45is level , test then , if only Vcores solves ya prob then you might have a powerhungry Q9540 batch...

What happens if you leave strap to AUTO...DDR2 Channel A REF Voltage to AUTO and set ram in sync at 840... I had erratic behaviour with my board, no settings made it stable, one dimm was faulty...

Disable Load Line Calibration and raise your Vcore a notch or two for proper Vdroop.

    Should fix the issue.

Thanks a lot this did it now my system is finally stable

But does any one know why this happens is this a crappy CPU or MB problem ?
