So abit says its not ready for the 9300 or 9450, yet they run decently well. My X3350 booted just fine, still stock though. I hope to start the OC'ing tonight. Will the beta 17 fix the temp reporting issues? Or just give us higher OC's?
Funny thing is the X3350 puts LESS stress on my PWM running stock than my little 2140 did at 1.43v. The 2140 heated them up to about 48-50C loaded while the X3350 has it hovering at about 44-46C full loaded. Course that's the stock 3350, but still i thought it would be putting more stress on the PWM as soon as it booted. +1 45nm chips![]()

I was able to get the 4 DIMM's stable (finally) after following Ace's recommendation on the MCH. I also went ahead and ordered a set of the G.SKILL 2x2GB DDR2-1000 sticks to replace the Ballistix in this machine -- I feel much more comfortable now running the 390x9 overclock with MCH sitting at 1.3x rather than 1.5x
Now I just need to lock in final voltages and timings to make the 390x9 OC permanent. It looks like I can safely use C1E & EIST at 390 mhz FSB... I would blue-screen almost immediately in windows with the 440x8 when I tried to use that.

is there a bios with more ram options im on b16 and lowest divider i can set my rams at 876 the xtreem ram doesnt want to go any higher it wanted max voltage its rated for to do 876hopefully theres a bios with more ram options or i just have to get higher clock rated ram

then...there is no dividers for any intel board below 1:1...if nvidia gives that option, it doesn't exist, as far as i know, in any intel spec board...i haven't heard of boards going below 1:1 on intel chipset boards.

Thanks for the reply, you just saved me hours of head scratching trying to go over 3.8.if you are talking at Prime95 stable, then you are most likely not going to achieve that without a Vapo unit...now, if you have a superior chip then maybe it can be done above 3.8
been there, done that!![]()

What is the highest vDIMM most RAM can take and still benefit? I recall reading back in the days of DDR that most chips used by manufacturers gain no overclockability by increasing the vDIMM over recommended specs. Is this still the case today?
seriously i tried 1.41 and then it posted in bios i backed timing from 4,4,4,12 to 5,5,5,14 it would act like was gonna start loading windows then blank screen so i cranked cpu vcore up to 1.4 this with fsb at 475 and it just kept resetting actualy went into windows in safe mode it bsod upon reboot so went back to my old settings fsb 438 and its fine so my question is what other voltages need to be changed for cpu besides vcore?? or maybe this e6750 just hit a wall .thanks

Vcore: depending on what Mhz you are trying to reach...if you are like me, i want the highest!...SO...1.5-1.54v actual vcore for a 65nm cpu...45nm cpu's range 1.4 (actual) as max for 24/7 operation.
MCH: 1.64
ICHIO 1.5: 1.7 or 1.8
CPU VTT: 1.3x
ICH 1.05: 1.05
DDR REF: +2%
CPU GTREF: 63-69% (69% if it is a 65nm cpu)
