i just checked the manuals for both the BT and the BT2 (they're the same). they both say that DIMM A0 must always have a stick of RAM in it. it says to use the blue slots if you have two sticks of RAM, not the black ones.

Regardless of the memory configuration used (dual or single channel), Channel A, DIMM 0 must always be populated. This is a requirement of the ICH9R Manageability Engine feature.
so how many of you guys are running two sticks in the black slots with the blue ones empty? i've had mine in the blue slots from the beginning.
