Well,
I figured I'd see what all the fuss was about and get one of the 120.2 Feser rads which I just received. First impression, half the treads are already stripped or poorly tapped on the mounting holes. They supply machined screws, and when I tried them out, I could feel the screws slipping with my fingers in the threads. So not good there, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that. The frame seems much thinner than a TC or HW labs rads, so tapping with enough threads to grab may be a problem.
I was expecting some spectacular paint job based on the Feser hype. Looks like they sprayed in a dusty room and you can see a ruffness on the satin finish. It's solid and the there's no thin spots on the coverage, but it's still average at best. The paint on the TC looks better IMO based on the one I have here. But the TC is a flat black, Feser a satin black.
Looked down in the ports which where sealed from the factory and I could still see some liquid or wetness. First time I've ever see that, but no big deal.
I'll get them on my second bench later on and see how it holds up against a TC 120.2 cooling a QX9650 at 1.44 volts with mid speed YL's and see how it does.
Bottom line, this thing better kick some serious WC ass, because at $144.42 USD shipped, I'm not the least bit impressed yet.
