To boot into Vista with a 335 FSB, I had to move the CPU voltage up to 1.6250v, and didn't change my PLL at 1.58v.

I tried a 340 FSB with no success. I took my CPU voltage another notch up, and moved the PLL voltage up 2 notches. Still no luck.

As new to OC'ing as I am, I am not sure how much voltage I should hit my Q6600 with to get 3.8 to 3.9 GHz.
In my pre GX2 days, 1.5120v CPU voltage gave me a stable 3.8GHz.

All other BIOS setting are the same as I listed on the previous page.

    Any advice would be appreachiated.
I still think a GX2 is stressing something that the BIOS controlls...
As to what, I have no idea!
As soon as I added the GX2, I lost my 3.8 and it has yet to return...

Just checked out the ASUS FTP directory and it lists the 0219 ROM w/ todays date (04/14/08), was the original a beta and has this release been changed?

    Edit:

Initial opinion is that they're fixing things because now multipliers restore from OC Profiles correctly without defaulting to the stock multiplier.

Will test my Folding performance overnight to see how it runs. The board does feel faster now, and certainly completes the POST routine faster now; HDD Detection of all 6 drives was almost instant with 0308 but unbearably slow on 02xx bios.

Flashed to 0308. Seems faster. POST is faster now, that's for sure. OC Profiles are fixed now so they restore the correct multiplier.

    9 x 400 = 3600. Are you at 3600 or 3800 on that CPU?

    A QX9650 @ 3.80GHz @ 1.34V would be impressive.
I don't think I could even boot Vista at that voltage on my QX9650.
In fact, it's taking me about 1.400 V CPU to get > 8 hours prime95 blend stable. (jwfitt on here is using 1.39xxx to get to 3.8, I believe)

I found that at about 1.38xxx V CPU I would always get errors in prime95 blend mode after a hour or two. I had to go to 1.4000 to get rock solid stability.

Anyway, if you get a chance, I'd love to see your main BIOS settings.

What sort of stability testing have your done at 1.34V?
Huh, I'll have to go back and change meh sig then. It should read 9.5x400MHz and the 1.34V is the reading I get from Everest while idle and @ load it reads 1.33V--using pencil mod. I think its set a notch under or above 1.375V in the BIOS. I can change this also if need be for clarification.

As for stability testing I ran my FSB up to 400MHz w/ a multiplier of 7.5 and ran OCCT for 4 hours on the RAM test. Then I pushed the multi up to 9.5 and ran OCCT again for 4 hours using the mixed test. I then ran through World in Conflict and Call of Duty 4 for a few hours and encoded two movies, no BSOD's.

I can post my settings in about 30 minutes or sometime tomorrow if you want.

Looks like the 0308 is a better choice after all. I prepped my USB stick with the needed stuff then I see that new version... I'm ready to do this tonight before I slap a Q9450 in it.

    I am making progress now...

Up to a FSB of 370, with a 400 North Bridge strap.

It is a combo of Sources, and Grnfinger Bios settings....

    380 will not work yet...

    This is my RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145176

On the sticker on the actual ram, it is marked XMS2-6400 2048MB 800MHz 5-5-5-18 1.80v ver1.2
