    Nachthy & F.O.G.N.A.:QX9650@5735mhz, SPI 1M=8.110

A really difficult bench day today
Rainy day and high humidity %.
Marco has arrived this morning at 8.15 AM and immediately we have prepare the setup for start to test the new P5E3 WS.
With our big disappoint we had a lot of problem with this mainboard
After 3 hours we didn't find the right setup for push to the limit my QX.
Try 12.5/13 and 14X multy and the only 1 good was 14X.
No cold boot problem for the mobo and the cpu cold bug was between -132 and -141
We had boot sometimes @ -144C without problems
We've decided to try my GTS under TEK9 but today was not the right day for us
Well, the TEK9 is an amazing pot, extremly reactive
This was our first time with a vga under LN2 and we're not very lucky.
    We have close a '05 @ 32013points with cpu @ only 5480mhz but we haven't save the screen( I have already a 32313 '05)
VGA can't go over 1005mhz gpu clocks for unknown reasons also with 1,52v and -172C.
After 9 hours lost and just 2 liters of LN2 I've try to downvolt the PLL from 1,72v to 1,64v and magically the cpu has start to go up
But it was too late and we had time just for run 4 SPI.
So just 4 screens for today
    But a lots of pictures

    SETUP:
    25L LN2
    Kingblock by Alex_TA
    QX9650 L739A664(ColdBug between-132 and -141)
Asus P5E3 WS PRO(no cold boot)
    2 GB OCZ 12800
    EVGA 8800GTS 512(no Cold Bug)
    Sirtec 1200W
    Win XP+Sp2
    Girmi Hair Dryer 1200W

    The only one 3d screen

    SPI @ 5702Mhz:

    SPI @ 5713Mhz:

And this one is the last screen, nothing special but we have spend all our energy for do it
Very very difficult to bench today
No Windows optimizations, no eram and no max mem, just affinity to core #2 and realtime.
8.0xx is good for this frequencies.

    Boot @ 390x14
    SPI @ 5735Mhz=8.110 (4th place in Italy)
    RAM @ 820 7-6-6-18 1t

    A validation @ 5747Mhz:

After this we've try 5813mhz but freeze during the screen capture

Did KP give permission to show the internals of the Tek9?

It will be very difficult with this cpu but not impossible

    @ Solarfall:
Tks my friend, maybe on next sunday we try again for sub 8" with 1,9v on cpu.

    Tks guys
Maybe our problem is my OCZ Platinum
Not able to go over 450FSB with RAM 1:2 also with CL8 and 2.12v
If I use 3:5 divisory the pc work

    I need CS 14400

Today I've decided to work on my P5E3 WS

After 2 hours of benching with 1,67V on NB, the temps don't go over 24/25° with 20° room temp

No problems for reach 476fsb with 1,34v:

Also I've test my new GTX with stock cooler:

Sad to hear about the problems, otherwise looks good ...

qx9650s does not need more than 1.6v vpll, furthermore is it not recommended to use higher than 1.6v.

Nice first go guys. Next time for full LN2 3D, try to take everything down in temps and up in clocks in STEPS. Dont go for below -100c on everything right away until you know the exact limits of every piece of hardware in the system. Maybe run some benches at -50c first, then -80c, then below -100c.
You will use a little more LN2 this way, but in the long run you will gain a ton of knowledge about what each and every piece of hardware in the system is capable of and when you go do push everything all the way, you will be 100%prepared. Looking forward to your next bench session(s).

Good luck! and very cool dewar setup..

    Tks for your suggestions Vince
This time we know better the mainboard and also the right way to bench with a gpu under cold.
Last time we would like to find the cold bug and the vga in 15 minutes was completely frozen
For sure we will follow your instructions for tomorrow's session.

I'm curious to see @ what temp will be the cold bug of my Zotac 9800

Hope to do something's good tomorrow with the TEK9 (we can't fail again with the best pot for vga)
And soon also with the Dragon

    @Fixer: tks
