Heh I'm feeling the corruption issue creep. The odd stall on HD intensive activities. Should I try my 1600 mhz ram in the black slots?

Yesterday, 24 hour sale. You need to sign up to receive specials by email from Newegg. Entered coupon "EMCAEAJBD" to get $40 bucks off. Also got a pair of OCZ DDR3 @ 1600 7-6-6-24 memory for 169.99 AR.

Argh !!!! I am having no luck with this board at all. Got my replacement S2E, put everything back together with my E3110, reinstalled windows xp just to be safe. Ran everything @ default, SPI 32M frezees the system. I mean the system is hard locked with everything on auto. This is crazy. $450 worth POS. ARGH and I am running out of smilies.

well, some people reported the blocks just popped off from their boards
thats why asus now uses two small screws to hold the blocks.
but once you remove them it shouldnt be too difficult, the glue cant be that hard... maybe heatgun, then spill some ln2, then heatgun again? be carefull not to damage the board tho.
i think by twisting the block enough you might be able to pull it off without a heatgun even.
id recommend you to remove the heatsink tho, so you dont risk damaging the board.

check the techreport asus xonar review... its a known issue and a new bios is needed to make the xonar work apparently :/

sounds like the same problem im having, i think i might have fixed it though but need to run some more stress tests to make sure its stable. i had to manually set the manafacturers timings and i upped the voltage too on my memory i think the auto timings (for me become 7-7-7-20-1T but spec is 7-6-6-24-2T) are screwing things up. just thought it might be worth mentioning

Naw bro, i got mine from eVGA RMA, i already did an advanced RMA, probably will get a new board shipped out tommorow and get it monday. So far this board sucks big time, i am probably going to sell it and get an X48.

I am thinking the same. The problem is that I have 2xEVGA 8800 GT superclocked and 2xEVGA 8800 GTX vanilla. I guess i would have to talk to EVGA and see if I can step up to 9800 GX2 for my 2 8800 GTX plus some cash or something, as I still have like 40 days left on my step up window for my GTX.

If I could do that I think I would go with P5E3 premium.

My GTs are running on my P5N-T. I hate to say this and this might sound wierd, my QX9650 is so stable on my P5N-T than my E3110 on my S2E. The freaking board is so freaking fickle(S2E).

Not all golden chips are gold with all motherboards. They need a golden partner (mobo) too

Well... I wish I could also participate in the conversation about the SIIE but the price is killing me! there is no way I will pay $480 and I still hate that I missed such a nice promo grrrr!!!

Hi getting my SIIE in a a few days its been like 3 years since my last setup and im preaty excited. Was planning on staying on air but with the fusion block on the board and finding someone ditching an old aquarious II for like $20 i was thinking of watercooling the NB with the kit. was wondering if this would work? whats the size of the hoses needed for the fusion block? i know it was on this thread somewhere i read thru it but that was before i thought of watercooling and now i cant seem to find the post that mentiond what its got. all i found was people saying it would have been better if it was a 1/2 barb so im asuming its not a 1/2 thanks

How do I RMA this piece of junk, all down hill now.
Won't even run stable at 4.05GHz anymore.
This time I've had enough, how much can you take.
790i sucks, my 780i was way better, it would stay running for aleast 12hours.
I'm so pissed off you have no idea, who needs this crap.

    DO NOT BUY 790i

yeah, sorry to burst your reference board hating bubble but there have been plenty of 550+ benches and my board was 500FSB stable out of the box within 5 minutes of first POST. the board is pretty straight forward and doesn't give much fuss getting up to 500FSB. haven't really tried pushing it yet either as i am working with some memory...8-7-6 clocks are coming up though so we'll soon see what my EVGA board does
i don't quote in my signature, but best WR ever...
