Scroll down to the corresponding VTT table for the voltage you wish to use and you will see the 3 set of values for each different thing 1/3, 0/2 & NB GTL.

    That make sense?
Ok I got it, so the green values on the first row are:

    1st NB GTL
    2nd 1/3 CPU
    3rd 0/2 CPU
(that if DFI reckons they got it screwed again)...

But then again that's just an example I picked I always have to look at the correspondent value.
Thanks your tables are making my X48 run stable again.

The original value of 0.716V is correct. This is a real figure measured with a DMM, so that's why he said there is some variation from the 0.67% and also the fact that a half measure was used (75) instead of 70 or 80.

I think, because it is only one figure out of the entire set of tables, the best thing to do with that is try it and see. If 0.716V isn't working, try 0.7102V.

And the other thing is, some people might have noticed that their VTT voltage values in the BIOS don't correspond to the second table. Please update your BIOS to 0307 or later and it should match.

That brings me onto the BIOS that was promised to fix the wording for the GTL REF settings in the BIOS. They have double checked everything and the BIOS is correct after all (I think Praz said it was), so the tables have been updated again and as far as I can see, we are all fixed and good to go!

    Sorry for any confusion

I'd be interested to know if there are any other variations since we'll be calculating these out, for the most part, ourselves for custom VTT values.

The idea is to give you a a set of figures and if your VTT/GTL settings fall exactly on those figures, then great, but if they dont, you can quite easily calculate from the tables where you should be and then tweak it yourself to get stable.

I think 307 and 320 are the same apart from the added support for the e8000 cpu`s in the 320 .

Well If you don't have a 8XXX processor there is no need to update bios.

    I'm on 0307.

    OS: Vista

If you are planning on RAID 0 which most of us use then any information on the current drive will be erased. All you have to do is hit CTRL I on boot to get into the raid manager and configure your drives/arrays

You'll also need to tell vista to install the raid drivers when it starts it's install and point it to the floppy or usb drive you have the drivers on.

So does this mean that NB GTL has nothing to do with the NB voltage?
I don't check my PMs very often.

wow i dont get this... ive reached 450fsb/1081mhz corespeed -3.6ghz
    gpu 721/1815/1007
i just ran 3dmark06 and only got a 13k score? on my older board not overclocked i got around 16k?
so basically overclocking this board made no difference to performance at all? and possibly made it worse. hopefully that crap score doesnt mean ill have less performance in games.

13K seems low but if you were getting 16K in 06 on stock clocks with a dual core there was something wrong with those runs.

k i did take a screenie of the last time i ran 3dmark, i dont have it anymore. but maybe it wasnt 16k, i cant remember to tell u the truth. but it was definatly higher than 13k, thats for sure. im trying to work out why its so low, ive looked at other results with similiar specs and there much higher than mine. does this mean ill be getting less performance in 3d games?
and could it be vista related? i just bought 2gb of crucial ballistix, so ill have 4x1gb of ddr2 1066 running at 1081mhz. hopefully that will make a difference.

hmm i just read that vista 64 reduces ur score by a fair bit. apparently by 1000 points!! it might be that actually. i found it weird that during the cpu test ,fps were at 0-1 max? that seems crazy low to me, wonder if theres a prob with my cpu.

I thought Vista is meant to remove need to have a floppy disk with drivers, as it comes with them within vista disk... i.e ready to go !

Just use whatever works for you, the tables are to get you in the correct ball-park and then once you are there, you can tweak it yourself.

Hi m8 i was told on the corsair forum that intel and amd mother boards can have problems in the long term running 4 x 1gb at full speed . Now if you run 2 x 2gb sticks then its less stress on the memory host controller and its fine to run at full speed. Thats why they advise you to run at 800 Mhz if you have 4 x 1gb sticks of ram. Im only going of what ive been told so if any one else has any more info then feel free to add it.

Windows boot times are considerably lower and level loading on games beats the hell out of my 2 brothers machines without raid 0.

The reason i mention the floppy is because the drivers for our raid come on a floppy but you can easily download newer drivers from the website and put them on a USB stick.
