Reseller ratings would be good? And I'm really sorry to hear about your case. It must have been hard. Hmm... tell ya what, NCIX has them in stock:

    http://www.ncixus.com/products/28849...69X3350/Intel/

See if you can order one from them then? It's a bit on the pricey side, though.

Prices in US has been gouged too high now, I got hold of an Q9450 here in Sweden for $400 and it's on it's way.
That is $400 incl. 25% tax...so that equals to $320.
That's one good thing with Swedish etailors, not much gouging going on here.

Still $400... but oh well. :p Mine was originally $320, but because I chose rush processing, overnight shipping, saturday delivery... etc... that it was bumped to $400. But for such a nice chip (3.90GHz stable on AIR!), it was a very well-spent sum.

Howdy folks. Byron here.. El Capitan of Moogr.

Sorry about some of the delays/confusion - especially on the international orders. I shipped out what i could but i think we're going to just focus on US/CA markets because of the delay in getting these suckers either to myself to ship out or to our exportable warehouse. Eats into cost and time and means i have to deal with 2 shipments instead of one.

I have 2 "Tray" (oem) X3350s sitting at my desk that i'll offer free shipping on - use coupon "SPRINGSHIP" when checking out.

other then that, just wanted to step in and introduce myself and say "hello" and show i'm real. Tough market to get into and the only way i can build trust is if people know i'm around. Been a lurker on these forums as well as many others for years - been on the IT/Consultancy side for a while but have always loved hardware.

Hoping to make moogr a great company and of course dealing with the excitement/challenges/pitfalls and triumphs that come along with it.

thanks for your support thus far!

You know what? I'll take another chance with another X3350 chip right now.
But only if I can check out with Paypal. All of my funds are on Paypal, and I can't check out any other way?

Well, the handling of my order wasn't exactly satisfactory, as you couldn't deliver on our agreement. I still haven't put up any resellerratings though.

And now it turned out that the chip I had to buy here in Sweden (no, it doesn't cost $500-600 here as you motivated your actions with in mail...$400 actually) is probably the crappiest 45nm quad on the planet. So I'm not that happy with how the things turned out, I should be happily priming an Xeon X3350 instead.

Well, I was promised a deal that they after multiple mails (which a couple went unanswered) and too many days suddenly wasn't "doable". I got the feeling they "stalled" me until I would give up or cave in for a another setup on the deal.
I could not cancel my order during that time as well, for some reason I wasn't allowed too....some mumbo jumbo on web site that I "hadn't created the order and wasn't allowed to cancel it".

Initially I got a very good impression, and until today I can't shake the feeling that they are legit...hence my delay on submit that resellerrating.
I do however consider myself beeing tricked on a decent deal, and when I recieved this uber crappola chip I have now things got even worse.

    I wonder if you'll consider trading that chip for a E3110... or a Q6700?

Trust me, you don't want it
It only eats wattage without delivering...

I've sold it anyway, didn't loose much so I'm pretty happy as of now.

Okay... you seem really upset now? Calm down a bit.
And by the way, check out Microcenter if you need a new Q9450. I think I'll post my complete Q9450/X3350 experience up soon... well, as soon as I get my Q9450.

I'm not more upset than normally when beeing treated like this.
If yuo got stalled and tricked on a deal for some bogus reasons, then you would feel the same.
It's a matter of passing on knowledge to other forummembers, so they can avoid the same treatment.

That's why we have resellerratings and such.

You're right - they labeled both on the ad.

Same CPU. Hopefully. But the Q9450 can be had for only $300. $340 (already with tax) for next-day shipping.

Socket T is LGA775. It will work on most newer motherboards. Anything that supports a Yorkdale. It's the same thing as the Q9450 but Xeon. Just like the E3110 is a E8400.

Microcenter.com Q9450... NOW! I checked yesterday and they had like 65 in Santa Clara. :/ (And mine arrives tomorrow)

P.S.: And I'd recommend doing that if you are one of those who are looking for the X3350.
