    The E8400 is the best processor for the money right now. It's cool, easily overclocks like a deamon, and is only $200 !! And it's 45nm! You can't go wrong.

    Why buy a much more expensive quad when nearly every game can not benefit from 4 cores? Now, if you use applications that can utilize 4 cores and you have the $$$, they go for it. In that case, I personally would get the Yorkfield 45nm Quad.
